This is getting out of hand.

"Janet?" Janet blinked again. "Janet?"

Was she ok? Did she still feel like herself? "I... am I still me?"

Jake groaned. That did not sound like a woman who was still herself.

"Janet. Listen to me." Sam was holding her shoulders and looking at her. "You touched it." Sam looked worried.

"I... I touched it. I touched it! Oh shit, I touched it!" A tinge of panic crept into her voice. "Oh my God, what's gonna happen to me?"

Jake **** himself to be calm and was relieved to see it have an effect on the sisters. Janet's eyes widened.

"Did you just... make me calm?"

Sam rubbed her shoulder reassuringly. "It takes some getting used to."

Janet was struggling to process this. "I... I had that same thought before you did! I thought that exact thing, but how would I know that? Was that not my thought? Are any of these my thoughts?" She paused and took a deep breath.

"Ok, I need to calm down. Wait, was that from him? It doesn't matter, though, I really should. God, this is confusing. I keep having these thoughts and they feel so..."

"Natural?" Jake suggested.

"Yeah! Natural! It's only when I examine them that I realize they're from you. It's like having two minds and not knowing which is which." She suddenly realized something. "Oh, Jake, I'm so sorry! I was accusing you of all these horrible things, and- and-" A loud sob escaped her.

Jake had a thought and knew they did too. Sam grinned. "That would be really interesting."

"Hey, I know we're all telepathic or whatever now but I'm still used to talking out loud," Janet said. "And how do we test it?"

After a second she looked at Jake. "You didn't have a crush on Jimmy Niemyer in third grade, did you?"

They looked at each other. Finally Sam spoke. "So I'm linked to Jake, and you're linked to me."
