Think about Kelsey

As he sat at his desk trying to start his calculus home-work he found himself picturing the one good thing about Calculus: Kelsey. He wondered what it might be like if he could pluck up the courage to say more than two words to her. Whether they would actually get along as well in real life as in his fantasies. It was the idea that they might not and Greg's fear of rejection that had so far made it impossible to find out.

As he sat wondering there was a knock on his door. He opened it to find Laurie standing there looking at him.

"What do you want Sis?" asked Greg.

Laurie just stood there, she was obviously trying to say something but couldn't open her mouth. Greg realised that he must have made her unable to say anything when he said "Shut Up".

"Well say something" he said.

"There's a girl at the door looking for you. Said her name's Kelsey." Said Laurie in a rush as if pushing out words that had backed up in her mouth.

Greg was shocked. Had his thoughts about Kelsey actually somehow summoned her to him? He went down stairs and low and behold there was Kelsey, standing at the front door.

"H-hi" said Greg, still trying to believe his luck.

"Um ... Hi Greg" said Kelsey "I don't know why but I was on my way home when I suddenly realised I needed to come over and talk to you, you know, more than we do at school. It's strange. I'd never really thought much about it before and I didn't even realise I knew where you lived. Still, here I am. So, um ... let's talk."
