Things get worse

After another two hours or so of walking around Ashley was getting pretty close to the end of her shift and was looking forward to spending the rest of the day guarding the armory in the warm comfy office, her feet hurt quite badly now and the cold air and wet clothes had made her hard nipples obvious through her shirt which She was getting quite tired of. Luck however was not on her side as not ten minutes from completion her radio chirped up, *Cshhhh, Sentry one, sentry one this is Guard Captain Sanders, we have a disturbance in sector 4 and some lab boys are requesting assistance. Please make your way over there now and sort that out, thank you. Cshhhh* "Uuuuugh, why now man" Ashley said as She turned right back around and moved toward sector 4 which just so happened to be the opposite direction as the comfy office.

Speed walking and very irritated Ashley made the 15 minute trip to sector 4 to find two men and a woman in white lab gear standing in the middle of the hallway. "What seems to be the issue?" "Ah! Security fantastic, see we had a minor issue with our translocator, its supposed to alter fabric of reality and space time and can be qui-" (Ashley cuts the man off) "What, is, the problem" Immediately the woman in lab gear jumps in "The apparatus is... not cooperating, we move it into containment and in an instant it's back out again" "We made an official containment breach report but since this is research and development and its not a dangerous... thing... we didn't really get taken seriously by the Security Captain" *Sigh* "Alright, show me the thing or whatever and I'll see what I can do". Following the trio into a small laboratory Ashley was shocked to see a very young boy sitting on one of the tables. "This is X1183, he is a experiment into how certain anomalies manipulate time, we have a containment field over here to stop him from leaving but it cant be on when we enter and the moment we leave he simply appears here before we can turn the damn thing on". Sure enough as if to demonstrate the woman picked the child like machine up and placed him into the small cage like box in the corner of the room only for a small audible *pop* to sound as it reappeared on the table causing Ashley to jump. "Can you try?" After a moment of thought, Ashley keyed her radio informing Captain Sanders of the predicament before gingerly picking up the child like thing. Despite its appearance it was cold, metallic, and actually quite heavy but She managed to get it into the only to hear the *pop* and turn to see the machine right back where its was. Out of her depth here Ashley simply tried again, and again. On her fourth try however her foot caught the corner of the table and She felt the heavy object slip from her grasp where it struck the floor with a resounding clang. After lying almost inanimate for a moment it popped into existence not on the table but in the door way to the lab, staring at the four personnel for a moment before turning and simply walking away.
