Things get even stranger

"Well Sofia, what do you have to say for yourself?" You ask, putting your phone with the incriminating footage back into your pocket.

She simply sits there a moment, looking to be on the verge of tears, before finally answering.

"You don't know why I did it." She says.

"Why then, what possible reason could you have to cheat on your husband. From all the rest of the PI's work it seems like you have a happy marriage?" You ask.

"We do, things are perfect, well, almost perfect. The one thing missing, is a child. We had been trying for so long, but it just didn't seem to be working. So then, we saw a fertility doctor and the news wasn't good. They said that with my genes I would already find it somewhat difficult to have a child, couple that with his weak sperm and we would need a real miracle if we wanted to conceive. We were both distraught with the news, but I took it a lot harder than he did. My whole life I've wanted to be a mother. Over time he seemed to make his peace with never having a child, but I simply couldn't. I had always wanted a baby and with my age slowly climbing it was only a matter of time before that became impossible. The doctor said I'd need a miracle to have a child, so I decided to make my own. That was two months ago and since then I've spent each of my fertile periods meeting up with men I met online and trying to have them impregnate me by lying about being on the pill. It hasn't worked yet, but I still have my hopes." Sofia says in a shocking twist of events.

"Wow... that's... not what I was expecting." You answer.

Sofia has a single tear running down her face now, after telling this story.

"Please, don't tell my husband. I'll keep my mouth shut about all this, I swear. Just please, don't tell my husband. I may have cheated on him, but I did it for the good of our family. You have to understand." She says.
