They pick them up together

Back at Spencer's SUV, Evelyn whipped out her phone. Whilst he started the engine, Spencer asked "How are we doing for time?"

"Good enough, but you know what? Why don't we just pick up the kids together? Save us both running around and all that."

"Uhh sure."

"Maybe we can hang out at your place?"

"What about dinner?"

"Still need to practice your cooking a bit?"

"I guess."

"Well, didn't you say something along the lines of 'what's the point of having a rich boyfriend if he doesn't treat you'?"

"I won't say no to going out."

"Perfect."

"So, wanna do anything else while we're out?"

"No, I'm happy to head home."

"Fair enough."

"Sorry it wasn't much of a date."

"Eh, I got laid twice so I'd say it was a successful day."

After a chuckle, Evelyn said "Can't argue with that."

The two spent the rest of the day relaxing on Spencer's couch, watching a movie. Once it was over, it was time to pick up their kids. Pulling up at Carter JHS, Spencer saw both of Evelyn's sons approaching together. One was noticeably taller than the other, with the beginnings of a beard. Like his father, he had brown eyes and appeared fairly fit considering his age. The other was skinner and had his mother's eyes and his father's dirty blonde hair. The two got into the back of his car, where the older one said "Hey Mom. Mr. Askren."

"Spencer's fine."

"Riley."

Spencer looked to the younger brother. "And you must be Logan?"

"Yeah."

"You guys have a good day?"

"Eh, good enough." Riley said.

That's when Amy got into the car, so Spencer said "Hey sweetie."

"Hey."

With everyone in, Spencer headed back home, as he thought of what to do with his extra guests.
