They leave her unguarded

Ai leans in and whispers to her sister, “She’s a scientist, not a fighter like us. We can take her.”

“We are exhausted.” Eve whispers in return. “How can we fight anything if we don’t have the energy?”

“We just needs a few moments to catch our breath.” Ai replies. “Scientists love to explain things, just get her to talk.”

Eve then turns to Chloe and says, “Why are you doing all of this. What could possibly be so worth all the effort to keeping us from going forward? Why all these defenses? Is there a world destroying device waiting for us over there?”

“That is what you think we’re defending?” Chloe asks. “Good lord, you two have no clue.”

“Then tell us.” Eve says.

“And what if I did?” Chloe asks. “What would it change? What lies over there is so complex. Provides a change so thorough. Would you even be able to comprehend it?”

While Chloe continues to explain how normal humans are too unintelligent to understand the secret of the tower, Eve and Ai take deep breaths. They try to absorb as much oxygen as they can while calming their heart-rhythm. This way they can quickly rest a bit. It isn’t much, but it could make the difference.

“I’m done talking with you two.” Chloe suddenly says. “If you want more information, fight me for it. If you can defeat me I will tell you everything.”

This is the longest Eve can stretch it. Hopefully they gathered enough of their energy to win this one. Ai and Eve step away from Gabriella and start walking towards Chloe. Ai approaches her from her left, Eve from Chloe’s right. The tentacles Chloe had summoned block the path forward. Even Gabriella is not able to pass. All they got to do is defeat Chloe here and now.

When the fight begins, Ai and Eve keep trying to attack Chloe from her blind side. First Eve draws her attention. When Chloe faces Eve, Ai attacks. When Chloe turns to defend from Ai, Eve attacks. But Chloe is fast and far more rested than the sisters.

While the women fight, Gabriella studies the tentacles. Chloe told her that if she goes in the next chamber and drinks from some chalice, Eve will end up getting her just reward. If only there was a way past those tentacles. How stupid is Chloe anyways? First telling her to move on then blocking the passage herself. On top of that, the potion she made her drink is making her tired. Like it’s sapping her strength.

Suddenly a few of the tentacles bend to the side, creating a small opening.

“Could that be Chloe’s doing?” Gabriella thinks.

She looks at Chloe. She, Eve and her bimbo sister are too busy fighting to pay attention to her. Perhaps Chloe is smarter than she shows. Gaberilla thinks.

Gabriella slowly walks closer to the tentacles. Running would only draw Eve’s attention. Once she is close enough she slips past the hole in the wall of tentacles. When she’s past the tentacles bend back into place and block the passage. Gabriella smiles, now nobody can stop her from giving Eve what she deserves.

Gabriella continues towards the luminescent passage. Once she is past the glowing gate, it closes behind her.
