They head to the Red Rocket.

Nate leans on Nora's shoulder as they walk out of Sanctuary. He carried the only 10 mm pistol they found, on the way out of the vault, in his right hand. Even while being shot in his left shoulder he was still a great shot, Nora thought. She only carried one of the vault tech batons but she felt safe knowing her husband could defend her. Codsworth trailed behind them.

When they crossed the Sanctuary bridge the Red Rocket gas station came into view. A German Sheppard dog was fighting what looked like giant rodents. “We have to help the dog,” Nora said, looking at Nate with her pleading eyes.

“It could turn on us,” He said. “The radiation could have turned it . . .”

But before he could finish Nora was bashing in one of the giant rodents head with the baton. Nate fired shots at a rodent lunging at Nora and Codsworth rushed into the fight, saw blade spinning. The fight was over quickly and the dog sat down in front of Nora and panted. He was clearly thankful that they helped.

“I guess you aren’t a wild dog,” Nate said. He scratched the dog behind the ears. The dog circled around sniffing them. Once he determined they were alright he stayed by Nora’s side.

Nora searched the Red Rocket and found a can of cram and some sugar bombs. In the office she found a stimpack and a mattress on the floor. The desk would easily slid in front of the door keeping them safe if they slept there. It would be a good place to hold up for the night. She went to Nate and administered the stimpack to his shoulder. It healed up instantly. “Thanks babe,” he said, stretching his arm around feeling renewed strength.

“Should we head to Concord,” Nora asked. “Or hold up here for the night?” She trailed her fingers down his blood soaked vault suit.
