"What the hell's this?"

Rosa picked the piece of paper up from the ground, where. it had been carefully wedged under a brick. She scowled at it. Amy was fiddling with the cuffs that bound them together. She couldn't get the lock to budge. The camera drone circled them slowly, recording their discomfort for posterity.

Hi ducklings,

If you're reading this you're stuck in an alleyway with no clothes on. If I'm right, and I'm always right, at least one of you has managed to handcuff herself to something right now.

"Damnit! How did she know that!"

I bet you're feeling pretty silly right now! But don't give up yet, sugarplums. In my infinite wisdom, I've left you a way out. There's a spare set of clothes for you at Shaw's bar. All you have to do is go and get it. Toodles, sweetcheeks! Gina 4ever xxx

"How are we supposed to get to Shaw's?" Amy's face was a picture of frustration. She tugged at the cuffs, unwilling to accept that she was stuck to Rosa permanently. "We can't walk across the city naked! It's illegal!"

"That's your problem?"

"We're cops! We can't commit crimes! Then we'd be the criminals, and the criminals would be cops."

"That's not how it works, Santiago. Shut up. I need to think."

"Rosa, this is bad. The captain saw me naked. Do you think he knew it was me? Maybe they didn't recognise my face. Could we tell them it was Gina? I bet they'd believe it was Gina. Oh my god, the captain saw me naked, and he's going to know what I did, and I'm going to get in so much trouble..."

"I said, shut up. And hand me that cardboard box."
