They call it a night

"So, where do you want to go now?" Robin asked unsure what to do after seeing that poor man on stage.

John finally was able to get his hand back from Robin with a yank. John looked at his friend with confusion as he tried to figure out what was going on with him.

"Are you okay?" Robin asked John.

"What happened back there?" John said, finally finding the words.

"I don't know, he seemed okay enough. Maybe the heat from the lights got to him? He was sweating," Robin answered.

"No...No, not that. Dude, you kissed me in front of all those people..." John said.

"Oh, I'm sorry...I just...I've never been someone's girlfriend before...I thought it you'd like it," Robin tried to explain.

John's jaw dropped at that. Did he say, girlfriend? Robin looked hurt and embarrassed but did Robin believed what he was saying?

"I am sorry. I didn't realize that kissing you in front of all of those people was going to bother you. I promise I won't do it again. I wouldn't hurt you on purpose," she told John.

"Dude, you're not a girl..." John told him, getting freaked out.

"I'm...what?" Robin said slowly.

Robin closed his eyes, pain on his face, and he grabbed his head. He started to sway and began to fall over but John moved fast. He grabbed Robin, luckily, before he hit the ground. He held his friend in his arms, afraid of what was happening to him. The moment eventually passed but it felt like ages until Robin seemed okay.

"What happened?" Robin asked in a soft, pained voice.

"I don't know," John said not sure, himself.

"I think I want to go home..." Robin told her boyfriend.

"Sure. Okay," John said leading him to the car.

The two of them drove home in silence. Robin looked out the window not really able to focus. John glanced over to his friend and worried. Hypnosis couldn't be real, could it? It would explain Robin's behavior but this was insane. John pulled up to the house and looked at Robin, who he was clearly not okay. That reaction of being told the truth was awful to experience and he never wanted to put Robin through it again.
