They both escape

Once she reached the metal staircase, the lighter girl rushes to activate the mechanism that lets down the ladder.

Below, the buff blonde eyes you as you get closer and closer. Without hesitation, she rushes towards you, surprising you with a powerful tackle and a loud roar.

As you fall into the strew-out garbage of the alleyway, she goes back to the ladder and quickly climbs up. By the time you're back on your skates, they're already pulling the ladder back up.

However, the commotion attracted a good number of your fellow dead, and pretty soon there are two dozen good-looking ghouls circling around the building, eyeing the two women in the fire escape.

They are safe for now, but unfortunately for them, there is only one other building that they can jump on to from the roof of their hiding place, and the other building is housing a nest of zombies.

Now, you merely have to wait for them to run out of resources before they have to leave their safe haven.

That's alright.
