They're oblivious to the change (complete personality shift)

"Hey sweetie" Holly said brightly. That was weird, his older sister never called him sweetie, that was the sort of thing his mom would say "I'm just making dinner, mac and cheese, your favourite" she smiled at him. "Chloe is out tonight so its just the three of us. Why don't you see if you can peel mom away from the TV and we'll eat together"

Josh nodded, still processing what was going on as he walked into the living room "hey... mom?" He questioned. His mother looked up from her phone "Yeah, what" she shrugged. Josh thought for a second "urm... Holly said to tell you dinner is ready. She wanted us to all eat together". Josh's mom sighed, threw her phone down onto the sofa and stood up "fine, guess I'll just watch my programme later then" as she sulked to the dining room table. Josh followed her and sat in his usual spot, noticing that his mom sat in her normal spot, closest to the kitchen, despite the fact she wasnt the one cooking.

Holly came in smiling and carrying plates of food for them all. As they sat and ate Holly chatted away, asking questions about their day and lives. His mom answered in a dull and bored tone as she wolfed down a second and then third plate of food. Josh's eyes were drawn to Holly's plate, she'd given herself a much smaller portion than usual and seemed to be picking at it, not eating much at all.

After dinner the three of them retired to bed. Holly cheerfully said goodnight before heading into his mom's room. His mom muttered a good night before going into Holly's room. Through the crack in the door Josh saw her sit down and turn on the PC, putting Holly's gaming headset on.

Josh was exhausted himself after the day. He headed into his room and flopped into bed next to Anna. The two of them drifting off instantly.
