They're Interrupted

Before they could get down to business, a solider burst through the bedroom doors, interrupting them.

Shaw was beyond pissed that anyone (especially a lowly soldier) would barge in while he was spending time with his new queen.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING???" He demanded as the solider immediately became meek, realizing that his life was most definitely now in danger.

"Sorry, sir, but I have to tell you that the X-Men are on their way." He said, before he turned to run for his life.

Before he could, Rogue flew over and landed in front of him, blocking any potential exit.

"What do you mean 'The X-Men are on their way', wouldn't they be looking at the normal Hellfire Club headquarters?" Rogue asked, making sure that she didn't sound mad, she didn't want to immediately be known as a tyrant.

"Uh, well, the X-Men put a bad beat down on the remaining soldiers and, when threatened by Wolverine, one of them gave up your location, the phrase I heard from Gambit was 'Kill Shaw and get Rogue back.', which the others seem to agree with." He said.

Both Shaw and Rogue were beyond furious (although Rogue made it a point not to direct too much anger at the soldier), they quickly had to get out of there and leave no trace behind.

Shaw gave orders to his most of his men to hold the position and wait for further contact, then he grabbed a few bodyguards, gathered what they could, sprayed something so strong it would make sure that Wolverine couldn't immediately follow them, and they were soon off for the next safe house. They found themselves in a series of tunnels underneath the club, it was such a long winding maze with so many dead ends that few would be able to get out alive unless you knew the path.

He knew the X-Men could get out alive, but, by the time they did, both of them and their bodyguards would be long gone.

"So, where are we going?" Rogue asked, hoping they could get back to business as soon as they were done.

"A little place a few hours away from here." He said as he read a map.

"I have multiple places we can hide out at, this one isn't the best, but we'll be picked up when we get there and taken to a nice place where we'll be able to let things die down, then we'll start building the Hellfire Club again." He declared, before explaining that he figured something like this would happen, due to how beloved she was, but not this quickly.

Rogue understood, Shaw was playing the long game here and she'd do whatever he needed her to.

It took a few hours, but they eventually reached their destination: A small (and dingy) apartment complex.

"This is it?" Rogue asked as they emerged from a secret entrance.

"Indeed it is." Shaw responded.

"So, how long do we have to wait before we can leave?" Rogue asked as she looked around.

"I promise, neither of you are gonna have to wait too long, although I don't think either of you are leaving quite the way you wanted to." An all too familiar voice said from the shadows.

Shaw and Rogue looked over and saw the person emerged from the shadows, ready for war.
