Chapter 16 by frogogre1 frogogre1

So how does the fallout pan out for Condiment wizard?

There was minimum fallout out not that he knows that.

The Condiment wizard found himself in a cell once he regained consciousness, though not his old cell. As Condiment Wizard took notice of his surroundings, it quickly became apparent he had been upgraded to a far more secure and watched cell than his previous one. Which was both rewarding and dishearting to see as it meant his attempt at a grand spell had been taken seriously, but he also lost his old neighbors from his old cell, which he had grown to like.

Condiment Wizard took a moment to sigh in frustration at the loss of his neighbors, then focused on his victory's. As his first attempt at major magic had caused members of the Justice League itself to show up. He had even fought the protector of Gotham himself. Truly, he was as far from the dead man he had once been and was in fact on his way to living legend, though it was saddening that his legend would be such a dark one. Though he made peace with the fact it was the only way forward to be living once again.

Though as he began to think about the battle and casting of his condiment cloud spell, he figured that as a great wizard he should try to find out how to do better next time he tried to cast a grand spell. He began to realize he didn't know what happened to Dr. Young after he had gone to the roof of the tower. This caused him to become visibly concerned, as she had been of great help both as a psychiatrist and as a minion, so he was rather intent on keeping her around.

He began trying to figure out how he could find out about her, as he didn't think the guards would tell him about her current whereabouts if he asked. Luckily he didn't have to ask; a guard came over and informed him without him asking. "Hey Condiment Wizard, Doc Young didn't want you freaking out because you couldn't get your scheduled appointments in as she's out on medical leave. So don't be freaking out and trying any of your magic shit alright." The guard said in a tense voice.

The Condiment wizard immediately understood that his minion had somehow gotten hurt and was getting it to him that she hadn't gotten caught. Well, he wasn't blowing her cover. "Of course I am an understanding great wizard. You can, of course, inform her of my patience and mercy for waiting on her recovery for her to return for our sessions." Condiment wizard said in his best attempt at a haughty tone of voice.

" Rrright. I'll get right on that." The guard said sarcastically as he began to walk away whistlingly as he did, though Condiment Wizard couldn't make out what song he was whistlingly exactly. As the guard walked away Condiment wizard smiled to himself happy he hadn't blown Dr. Young's cover. Meanwhile, a certain ruthless, red-headed therapist was recovering in another part of Arkum Asylum—the medical wing, to be precise.

To say Dr. Young was not happy with the current situation would be putting it mildly. She had expected to be standing next to her master in his moment of triumph with her creation, the newly awakened Nora, frozen at their side to guard them instead she had been betrayed. Luckily though the situation was still salvageable, as it turned out her minions betrayal had saved her from any suspicion of being a part of her master's Condiment Wizards grand spell casting.

It seemed those investigating figured that Nora and her master had conspired together at some point at Arkum and simply used her to get them to the tower, which had its defenses against meta powers such as Condiment Wizards magic removed by mistake during the remodel. This was their hypothesis, and she was more than happy to go along with it, so she had the warden give any and all the evidence that would prove their theory and, of course, have him leave out any evidence that would disprove it.

With their theory proven as far as they were concerned, the heroes left to help others that needed them, and the investigators left to solve other cases. Leaving Dr. Young to figure out how she would make up for this failure and get back at Nora freeze for her double cross not that it would be lethal, of course, as she would need her to continue serving the master, but it would sting enough to show ego was in charge.

Meanwhile, a former blond woman was once in perpetual sleep in a water tank with blue skin. Who now found herself with red hair woke up in a special cell on the woman's side of Arkum Asylum. She looked around her cell, getting her bearing. Nora saw she was on a special cold cell made her for her unique biology, the dead give way to that conclusion being the ice forming on the floor and the ceiling. She took a moment and walked to her cell door, which had a window similar to the ones you would find on a submarine.

Nora took a moment to wipe away the frost buildup that covered the window, then peared out of it. There she saw her minions of ice and red all staying in cold cells similar to her's though not as cold. She looked them over and saw IV drips covered in magic runes taking out a red substance out of them while pumping something else in to them. "Batman and Dr. Fate's work no dought; luckily my biology is far more advanced than the disposable pawns so they can not take away what Master has gifted me with." Nora said, displaying her cold detachment as she casually dismissed her minions existence, unlike the original Nora would have.

Nora walked back over to her bed and went back over the current situation in her head. As it seemed, Dr. Fate and Batman had come up with a method of reversal for her minions improvements when it came to their new-based abilities, and Dr. Fate had some method of extracting the red ketchup from them. Thus, with theit twisted efforts, Nora had lost control of her minions, and her minions had lost their effectiveness becoming useless to the master.

Nora did not see it as that much of a setback, as it was not like the female minions were that valuable, especially considering it wouldn't be that hard to replace them. Though hopefully next time with a better, more skilled batch of warriors instead of the cannon fodder she worked with before. As she thought about throwing away lives in service of her master and how she could enslave others to her will, and through her connection to the master, they would serve him, as she thought about all that in the back of her mind, plans began to form.

Once Nora freeze would have never thought of such things as she was planning to do now and would be horrified at the very thought. She knew that her lack of disgust and shock at what she was planning to do showed just how much she had changed, though the fact she could see it was probably a side effect of her unique advanced frozen biology making it hard to feel emotions. Though as she continued to plan to commit atrocities to gain her master's favor, she did think she didn't really care that she had changed from the old, sweet, lovely Nora freeze.

As she would have still been waiting in that snowglob as the world went by, probably forever one day, just laying in some ruins as the last human alive in her frozen tomb. Her master had provided the tools to revive her if those tools changed her, so what it spared her the fate of being the world's oldest snowglob. Though she figured she would have to deal with her husband at some point, he would be happy at her awaking but would react violently to finding out her new loyaltys. So best get rid of him before he tries anything against her master Condiment Wizard.

So with the week that followed the incident at Arkam Asylum, the prison would find itself slowly regaining normalcy. Meanwhile, certain forces outside of Arkam Asylum would find new normals, while others considered whether or not to include the Condiment Wizard in their schemes or secret societies. It was quite a time for speculation on the value of the new dark wizard of Gotham known as the Condiment Wizard.

So we know what happened to those at Arkum but what about those outside Arkum?
