Which book do I open?
There’s a Second Knock
Before I get the chance to make my decision, a second knock pulls my attention back over to the door. Without a second thought, I head over to and open the door once again, this time finding a bock. I start to pick the thing up to bring inside, but it’s weight surprises me and pulls me down some. What the fuck is this? I haven’t ordered something other than the actual book in the past few days, let alone enough something else to make something this heavy.
Regardless, I don’t waste much time hoisting the box up, lugging it into my apartment, and putting it on my desk next to the books. I grab a box cutter from one of my drawers and slice the tape open to reveal… a fuck ton more books.
“Are you fucking kidding me,” I unintentionally exclaim, looking down at the open box in front of me. “It’s just more fucking books?” I pause, just staring for a moment, trying to come to terms with what’s happened, before I start pulling out the books.
I keep pulling out more and more, before I look down at the near-rainbow in front of me and realize that I’ve pulled out more books than could fit in that box. It looked like it could barely hold the three books that were delivered earlier, let alone the more than five new ones sitting in front of me. My attention stays fixed on the array in front of me for a moment, before I start thinking about what to do.
After a moment, I decide I have to look through at least one of them. Out of all of them, there has to be something written in one of them. You don’t figure out a way to break the fabric of reality, even a little, just to send someone blank childrens’ diaries- at least I wouldn’t. The only question, yet again, is which one to chose?

In a world where any famous person can own anyone else with practically a snap of their fingers, what fate awaits me? Or, for those into the inverse of that, some of the fictional universe paths have some… promising changes. Some universes, or options for them, alter to rules to give me the power. Many others allow you to take the identity of a fictional character and gain ownership over other fictional characters or have them take ownership of you.
