There's one more thing to do

"Not quite.", said Valerie. "There's one more thing you must learn - a spy can't leave a trail behind her. We must destroy any evidence that you were here."

Eva nodded reflexively, although her expression betrayed that she didn't quite understand what Valerie meant.

"Pick up your clothes."

Eva looked puzzled, but complied, picking up the garments she had discarded from the ground and holding them in her hand. Valerie took them from her, before walking to a document shredder and feeding the clothes to it one by one.

Eva's face was a mixture of anxiety and surprise, but she didn't say anything. She bit her fingernails as she watched the outfit she was wearing only a few moments ago turn into thin shreds of fabric.

Once finished, Valerie turned to her. "That's it. You can enable your earpiece now."

As soon as both of them did it, Iris's voice crackled into their ear. "Where are you girls? Everything okay?"

"We're fine, lost signal for a sec.", replied Valerie as she zipped the front of her suit back up. "Proceeding to the first phase of the mission."
