"Oh, Rick, it's so nice out," Catherine said. She hooked her arm through his and batted her lashes at him. "Let's walk down to Vino together."

Rick agreed and they set off for a nearby wine bar. The menu was mostly appetizers, but they were both enjoying themselves too much to worry about it. Rick was startled when he felt something touch his ass, and it took him a second to realize that Catherine had put her hand in his back pocket.

"Jesus, hon," he laughed. "Did the drop make you a high school junior again?"

She fixed him with a smoldering, lusty gaze and reached for his zipper. "I guess you'll just have to be quiet, then."

Then Catherine turned around and smiled at the clerk, a college kid who was working to pay for tuition and textbooks. She raised a hand in a friendly wave and he waved back before a shit-eating grin spread across his face. He nodded approvingly, gave a thumbs up, and lit his cigarette. Rick sighed with relief and sagged back against the wall; Catherine awkwardly got to her feet and leaned back next to him.

"Oh, my God," he said raggedly.

"I know," she agreed, and rubbed her knees. "Remind me to bring kneepads next time."
