Theatric arts: Performance

You informed your commander that you’d been attending the theater regularly and as such had become a master of performing arts. That didn’t just mean strumming a lute or putting on a play, although you could. It also meant acting a character and deceiving others.

“The demon lord has his doppelgangers and we have our theater children,” the commander joked humorlessly. “But I see the application. These days, negotiations with demons are not outside the realm of possibility. You can use that to your advantage. Be their friend, even when you are their enemy, and that hellspawn will register surprise on its face just as the dagger twists in their back.”

You told him it didn’t all have to be so grim. You hoped that an ability to perform would help create some levity among the saintesses as well.

“Pah. It’s not my adventure. Feel free to dance for Geod or for coin if you like, young squire. Just be sure that before you deploy these so called ‘performances’ you have an audience capable of appreciating them. Always remember the downside. A dark dragon cares as little for a merry song or a jaunty jig as yours truly. Perhaps the saintesses will like it better.”
