Reed: Sue open up we need to talk

I could feel Sue tense against me as she heard Reed's voice. Her face was a mess of emotions ranging from hate, fear, satisfaction, and regret. Needless to say, she was a complete wreck right now. Sue needed time to process her feeling and not let Reed take advantage of her current instability. So I did what any man in my shoes should do and took charge of the situation. Holding Sue tight to help ground her and calm her down. As soon as She breathed a little easier she looked at me for an answer of what to do so I just answered for her instead.

Antonio: Sue doesn't want to talk right now she needs time to think and come to her own conclusions before moving forward with anything

Reed: I don't want to hear that from you, you are the whole reason that we're in this mess right now!

Antonio: No you're in this mess because you decided to go behind Sue's back and hand me over to shield just because you became jealous. Then make a unilateral decision without even consulting anyone because I am somehow a threat to your absolute control over the entire Baxter group. You don't mind other intelligent people you love to debate and talk shop but the moment it seems that someone is messing with the dynamic of your comfortable life you become aggressive seeking to destroy the snake in your garden.

Reed: That isn't what happened!

Antonio: Oh really so it must have been someone else that tried to hand me into the custody of Shield Just because he thought that Sue and I were becoming close and he was losing control over her as she didn't immediately give him what he wanted even though he had been neglecting everyone around him?

Reed: I have nothing to say to you you're fired so fuck off and leave immediately before I have you removed from the building!

Antonio: I thought you were one of the smartest men on the planet but I guess that was an exaggeration otherwise you would know that according to my contract, only Susan can fire me as I am a direct employee of hers, and she alone has control of my employment

Reed: What The Fuck! No that is impossible Susan wouldn't do that this has to be your doing you used some kind of power on her to mess with her mind!

Antonio: Wow twice in one day! Sorry to disappoint you but once again you're wrong I don't have any superpowers and Sue isn't under any kind of control if things fell apart for you that was your doing not mine and if such a decision was made it was her choice, not yours

Reed: This isn't over!

Antonio: but for now it is

I could tell that if there wasn't a wall between us at the moment that Reed would have attacked me on sight. Sue pulled me out of my thoughts as she held me tighter and felt warm tears falling onto my chest. The whole ordeal of the situation seemed to be too much for Sue as she was shivering in my arms. So to distract her mind a bit and help her calm down I gently cupped her chin making her look me in the eyes then leaned down and kissed her.
