Chapter 3 by D!$N3Y D!$N3Y

Who gets the Wonder Infinity Stones?

The wondrous world of Atlantis

Milo Thatch has worked as a linguist at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. in 1914. That is until he tried to convince a board of directors for funding to find a book called the Shepard's Journal, which Milo believed would lead them to the lost continent of Atlantis. But they dismissed the case because it was based on folklore, and they belittled his skills by keeping him working in the boiler room during winter. And when he tried to resign, a man of the board put bluntly that no other institute would fund his expedition, meaning Milo would just be throwing his life away chasing a fairy tale. Like Thaddeus, his Grandfather did.

That very night, Milo came home and a woman, Helga Sinclair, was sent by her employer to recruit him. It was revealed that Preston Whitmore, Helga's employer, was close friends with Milo's grandpa until his end. After talking about Grandpa, he pointed to a package on a small table near them. He said Thaddeus passed that on to him years ago. "He said if anything were to happen to you, I should give to you when you were ready. Whatever that means." It was an old brown book, still intact, with a faint golden spiral on the cover and a dot in the middle. But what really was unique was the set of jewels imbedded within.

After realizing that it was indeed the book he longed for, and that Whitmore had everything taken care of for the voyage to the lost city, Milo joined the huge crew heading there also. And all the while, he kept wondering what the gems were for... He kept feeling some strong energies from them, but couldn't place why.

What happens next? Does he touch a jewel?
