The truth... sort of.

Terri didn't know what to say. There were no good reasons for her to find herself in Kiona's room unannounced. If she didn't come up with something, and fast, then Kiona would definitely catch on to what was happening, and soon. She was a smart woman, and Terri knew exactly how suspect this situation looked.

An acting coach had once told Terri that the most believable lie was the truth. Now, he had also told Terri that she would need to go braless on stage to 'sell the role,' but that didn't mean that all of his advice was bad. That meant that she just had to tell the truth, in a way that didn't get her kicked out of the BB Brigade on her first official day of membership.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, Kiki," she said, going bright red. She made sure to use the nice, friendly name that she had heard Marigold call the bodybuilder woman in the past. "I'm being a little mischievous here." She looked away. It was almost an act. Almost. She really was terrified of how Kiona might react, after all.

Kiona sat up straight in her seat and furrowed her brow. She looked more like an interested teacher than an angry or disappointed parent, which put Terri's mind at ease somewhat. "What do you mean, Terri?" she asked.

Terri took a deep breath in, then let her deep breath out. She knew that she could pull this off. She just had to be brace and clever, just like Tracer. "Weeeeeellllll," she said, scratching the back of her head and plastering a fake grin across her face. "You kinda caught me in the middle of a panty raid." God, what a ridiculous lie. She could see it crumbling already. "All in good fun, of course, just like a light camp type game we thought might be funny. I just thought that..."

Kiona's face lit up. "Panty raid!" she cheered, pumping her fist in the air. "That's hilarious!"

Holy shit. Had she actually bought it? And she wasn't mad? Terri never would have guessed that that lie would have worked in a million years. She was actually in a state of shock. "Y-yeah," she stuttered. "W-we already nabbed Marigold's, s-so you were the next one we were gonna raid."

"We?" Kiona asked.

Terri's heart dropped out into the pit of her stomach. She had been so close, and yet she'd still managed to screw it up in the home stretch.

"Y-yeah," she said. "I hooked up-- met up with a friend of mine from my camp days. We thought it'd be funny to do like a panty raid. Like as a team building thing? We just thought it'd be funny. I thought people might get a kick out of it, you know? Just some light fun." Terri could hear herself going on and on and on.

"Yeah, I get you," Kiona said, nodding vigorously. "Can I come along?" she asked.

Terri gulped. She really hadn't anticipated that one.

"Yeah, of course," she said.

And then a golden opportunity presented itself to her, strutting around the hotel room like a gorgeous man that Terri wanted really very badly.

"Oh," she added, trying to sound nonchalant. "But... if you're going to come along, you have to give up your underwear, too. All of it." Terri gulped. "I did it, too, so... it's only fair."
