The train

Beccy smiled, she hugged and kissed her mum and dad, it was 8pm and they were standing at Aberdeen Train station waiting for the train to Penzance, It was the first time the young woman had travelled without her parents and she was excited to have the adventure

Her father gave her a extra bearhug, Beccy hugged back but she felt suffocated and pulled away from him,

"I'll be back in a few days, I promise not to do anything stupid, its not like I'm leaving the country" she said with smile

Her father stood over her, "I'm not worried about if you do anything stupid, I'm worried about what others will do"

Beccy's mother held her husband and said "We need to let the wee bird fly Hamish, you can't shelter her forever.

Beccy blew them a kiss and walked towards her train waving back at them.

Beccy had just turned 18 and had left school, she had applied for and been accepted to Penzance college, to do navel studies, this had annoyed her parents as it was the at the opposite end of the United Kingdom from them but this but she had told them it was the best in the country. Secretly Beccy had chosen it so that she would have space from the, her father had always maintained that the world was too scary a place for his little girl.

Beccy got on her train and went to her seat, she put her bag in the overhead storage and sat down, she planned to read a little and sleep for most than 13 hour journey, She caught a look at herself in the refection of the train window, she was five foot one, her breasts were small but her petite frame made them look much larger.

She wore a tartan mini skirt and white hold up stockings, she had a simple blouse and black mesh cardigan, her hair was jet black and she kept it in a pixy cut.

The carriage was begging to fill and she saw a large bearded man stagger towards her, he was growling at the other passengers and no-one looked at him, Beccy watched him in the reflection of the window and began to panic as he looked directly at her and walked over.

Beccy continued to look out of the window hopping that he would move along but even though the surrounding seats were empty he sat beside her.

"Want a drink" he slurred offering a bottle of foul smelling liquid.

Beccy didn't react, the man proceeded to down its contents, his smell hit her noise and she gagged, there was no way she could sit with him for 13 hours and she went to get up, he grabbed her arm and pulled her down, the doors closed and the train began to move, fear gripped the young woman, would she be stuck with him for the journey.
