The thought of Sharon and you is not without attractions...

You've never actually done anything with another girl, but the thought has occurred to you now and then. And now that you are a certified hottie yourself, what's stopping you? You decide to try a bit of experimental flirting, not sure if you really want to go through with anything.

"It's nice of you to say so, Sharon. Everybody knows you're one of the prettiest girls on campus yourself." (OK, so that's laying it on a bit thick; but so what? It's flirting, not Beauty School 101.) She smiles in a pleased way, but smirks. "Well, I don't go much for the word 'pretty'; but I'll take it as a compliment anyway. 'Pretty' is usually another way of saying 'nice'; and if you look it up, 'nice' is an old word that actually means 'stupid.'" (Philosophical wanderings like this may explain why she has so few friends on campus; but you remember with a start that a teacher back home once mentioned the same thing in class.)

"So, do you have a hot date tonight?" she interrupts your reverie to inquire.

"Nope; just got back from a temporary job assignment, and there's a sock on 'our' doorknob again! The old 'vow of chastity' ploy must have worked its magic once more." You both laugh knowingly at that. "You'd think the guys would have all heard about that one by now."

"Who says they haven't? If she's more willing to hop into bed with guys she thinks think they are making a conquest, well: a stiff prick has no conscience, and no brains."

"Come to think of it, you're right. Why do you think she thinks she needs the gimmick?"

"Some chicks just don't understand that they don't have to play little highschool games to get the boys interested in them here at grownup school," Sharon grins. "They think they're competing with Betty and Veronica; but all the guys here are more Reggie or Moose than Archie."

"I know what you mean; I've been here two years, and no romantic conquests have made their way into my diary while working two jobs and temping."

"Maybe you need to broaden your horizons." The intent was getting less subtle with each passing exchange. "There are lots of... people around here who have noticed you, even before you started those beauty experiments of yours." She reaches a tentative hand out to touch your cheek. "Your skin is so smooth, so flawless; I wish I could say the same." Her fingers linger on your face, as she steps forward tentatively.
