Chapter 3 by Gambio Gambio

Pick something, you bitch

The tagline

The tagline is that line you see below the title. It’s purpose should be so blindingly obvious that I feel stupid even making a chapter about it. But, giving your general intellect I rather don’t take any chances.

The tagline serves to give your title some more flair. Ideally, your potential readers already knew what this story is about with the title, the tag line will now provide them with a slightly clearer picture.

EXAMPLE:

Elf ****

Can you escape the magic forest before getting ****?

Aha! I bet by reading Elf **** you expected the elf to get **** but in reality it is YOU who gets to be ****- by elves! What a twist! And without the handy tag line your reader would never even noticed that until deep in the story!

Then in a twist of rage they would have sued you for emotional damage, forcing you to pay off your settlement for the rest of your life!

But thanks to the tag line this horrible fate has been avoided! Go down on your knees and worship its mighty form. Worship it!

This should be obvious, (but again, knowing you...) but the tagline should be short! At most two lines.

What's next?
