Chapter 3 by Justtag Justtag

Did he died and was sent to somewhere else, or was this the start of something great?

The start of... Something.

Ritchie was still dazed by the white flash, so he didn't even bothered to correct the beautiful woman in his house, but he wasn't exactly gullible or dumb, he could feel something was different, that something had changed, did something changed?

The boy walked through the apartment, avoiding Jessica at all costs, not because he didn't liked her, as his gut feeling was very receptive to her smirks and smiles and also her hugs and... Everything. She didn't felt like a stranger anymore, and that's what frightened him, after all, a few minutes ago she was just a friend of his aunt, but now... He did not know what she was, and that's what the tall boy was doing, ressearching.

He looked through a few things and they surprised him a lot, a great deal of old pictures had changed, and since his aunt Michelle, more known to family members as Misha, liked taking pictures of him ever since she started raising him, he had a lot of material to look over. At the start, no photos changed, when he was around 8ish years old, but something changed in middle school, as Jessica, his aunt, his grandpa and him were at a vacation that he was sure that the black haired woman wasn't there when the first time around... What could this mean? That something weird was happening, and by weird he found the most out of left field change he could.

As he passed by his aunt's room, he easily caught eye of something by her nightstand, as the door was slightly open, where he managed to see a picture that looked like his aunt and Jessica were in... Wedding dresses? And as much as that sounded absurd, fake and whatnot, Ritchie knew that was the only explanation for what happened now. His aunt was married to someone that was supposed to be her friend and he had no idea what caused it or deep down, he didn't wanted to believe the white flash did something.

"Richard Jackson Brown. Tell me what's wrong. I can see it clearly plastered on your face. I found ice cream on the fridge, we could eat some while we have a chat."

And there she was, still dressed like before, he couldnt speak, mostly out of shock from this woman appearing out of nowhere and giving him a hell of a jumpscare, the other part was how uncomfortable he was around women, not because he was a massive pervert or anything unlike his friend in Razzy, but because he was surefire of either making a fool out of himself or because he genuinely is scared of them, and how could you blame him? Half of the most beautiful women around were super powered people and some of their conflicts caused massive levels of destruction around the city and impacted the civilians lifes more than what one could imagine.

"I... Am feeling something different. Can't put my finger on what is it."

"Is it nausea? Felling unwell? You looked like you had a headache."

"None of that, just... Different, you know? Like I could jump higher, run faster, you know? I feel more... Alive, I guess?"

"I see... Say, how about we head to the gym later? When your aunt arrives home so that all of us three can go and blow some steam, sounds good?"

"... Sure. Thanks Jes- Aunt Jess."

"Don't need to make up for earlier."

"I'm not making up for that."

Despite all of his worries and the several theories that ran through his head, Jessica truly seemed to be his aunt's wife, and by far, despite how casually she acted around the boy, he had no reason to believe that the woman would do him harm, after all, she's been around for some good years. Her whole demeanor, her cool and yet motherly vibe was enough to let the teenager let the guard down and expose a few things to the woman, on about how he's feeling to her, and while he couldn't notice, her eyes were scanning him again, moreso with worry than something inherently malicious.

And as for her? She had slight suspicions over the years, and given Misha's family history, the black haired woman had no real surprise at knowing that her nephew was probably a mutant, that word ringed her some bells, if he did have a flashy power or manifested anything dangerous, the X-men might arrive and... take him away... Too teach him obviously, but no loving relative was ever going to feel the pang of longing if he never came back or died at the several dangerous adventures they went on, Jessica knew from first hand what is the superhero life and she wishes that upon nobody. She had to give them a call or atleast some text messages, even if that kind of compromised her semi secret lifestyle with her wife and her father.

"Hey guys. It's been some time since the last message huh?"

"Jessica? Why the text now?"

"Does anybody here have Peter's number? I really need to talk to him, after all, Logan never reads his God damn cellphone."

"I do read the messages toots, I just don't bother with them, too busy."

"Logan, can you meet me and Peter at the park? Today. I'll ring you when I get there. And please take a shower, I'm taking my nephew with me and I'll need you two to confirm something for me."

"Is it about the powers thing?"_

"Yeah, he said that he's feeling something, I want to test that out."

"Hey guys! What did I missed?"_

Jessica had decided, and she prayed for whatever sort of God that was out there that her nephew wouldn't have to do anything that he was **** to do, superhero life was tough and the black haired woman didn't wanted that for him, specially for such a sweet and meek boy, even with his size, he could never hurt a fly... That was what worried her the most.

A few hours had passed since the whole white flash incident and despite Richard's worries, his aunt had managed to get back home, with his grandfather being grumpy that they were stuck on traffic, also after they missed the bus for almost an hour and a half, typical old man comment by this time, something that distracted the boy from the incident hours earlier.

"Hey Jess, any luck with the Moon family case? I heard that your friend was on the case and he had no idea."

"No. That girl vanished after some day, we're still working on something."

The boy wasn't paying attention to their mundane and simplistic conversation, as he was glad to not worry over his aunt, but he wasn't at all used to having her simply just smash her mouth against the black haired woman, earning a few giggles from the suposed private investigator, before the two women set simply for a kiss on the lips, making the boy feel very self conscious, not because of the kiss itself, but more from how... Different it was for his usual routine, Razzy would die to see this.

After talking with her wife, the new addition to the Brown family in Jessica had managed to convince both her and her nephew to meet with some friends at the park, with the assurance that they were simply having a picnic, and with Michelle not wanting to prepare any sort of dinner, the three left for the park, with it being not too far away.

But still, the boy was still mulling over his thoughts, what was that flash? Why the woman he barely knew was basically his second "mother"? He would continue to think and mull over the concept, if he wasn't at all distracted by said woman. Jessica was now dressed as smart as she could, but somehow sexier than before, it was as if the more dressed she was, the better she looked - she was going for a more business style of clothes, with her dress pants being relatively new, not clinging to her skin and somehow defining how well her calves and her legs looked, along with that, her sharp and fashionable blazer gave her an aura of professionalism, coupled with the fact that her sizeable chest was making an impression on her undershirt, and you had quite the figure on itself.

The trio arrived at their destination and awaited for the black haired woman's friends, to which even Ritchie's aunt in Michelle knew who they were, leaving him the dark about what exactly and why they were here, which made him nervous about all of this situation.

"Hey Jessica, brought the wife along?"

"Good to meet you too, Parker."

"Nice seeing how you and her click, Michelle."

The boy's thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of a duo of men, alongside a teenager girl, whom all seemed like normal people, but something about them was off in the tall teenager's opinion. The man whom quipped before, was somewhat built yet lean and with brown hair and dressed rather casually, Ritchie would go on to know that this man was none other than Peter Parker, a brilliant yet unlucky man. The other man was short, smelled funky and had a mean stare, his dark and shaggy hair, coupled with his facial one had him looking like a gruff and tough individual, despite how calm he was, this was none other than James Howlett, a.k.a. Logan.

The girl was the one whom stood out the most, despite being the smallest of the three, as she was dressed with hippie and yet trendy clothes, doing a nice way of portraying her as a level headed girl, and she had not even spoke a single word, just smiling softly at the boy, whom was immediately smitten with how sympathetic she looked. The girl had short, styled in a pixie cut, fiery red hair, reminding him specifically of the superheroine that used to be on the X-men team all the time... He didn't remembered her name... But the more he looked at her, the more that he would find himself in awe, almost hypnotized, and before Richard realized, she was talking to him.

"Uhm, Hi? I'm Rachel. Rachel Anne Summers. You're?"

"Richard Jackson Brown! Uhm, sorry, I was startled..."

"I could see why. Sorry if I look odd or anything."

"Odd?! Nononono! You're... Uhm, cute?"

"Thanks, I like your hair, feels really good running my hand through it~"

"H-how? Since when?"

From the corner of his eye, he could feel the stares of the other adults looking on and talking about something, and even snickering at the boy's predicament, clearly feeding on to Rachel's behavior in teasing him, and while he enjoyed that it was very clear that he felt very self conscious about this pretty girl invading his personal space. The group had a surprising delightful rest of afternoon as they talked, catched up with everyone's lifes and mostly importantly, did one thing that would change Ritchie's life forever.

"Say Rick, can I call you that? Anyway, have you been feeling different? Anything? That whole Baxter incident really made me dizzy earlier..."

"No problem in calling me that... Wait, you too?! I had a massive headache and... I fell down, aunt Jess helped me get up and checked to see if I was indeed well. I just feel better somehow..."

"Say... It seems our time is up here. Would you like to get my number? I live close by and you're cute, but gotta work on that confidence tho! You would be a real catch with the ladies with that."

"I... I would love to get your number."

The smaller teen gives off a smirk, playfully teasing the taller one more, before giving him her number, something that she was overtly excited, for some reason. Eventually, the group departed and it was time for departure, but not without one last surprise, as Richard could feel something inside of him snap, almost as if he was out of a trance, before Rachel shot him one last smile and a wave... Did something happened here or was he being crazy again?

"So girlie, is he a mutant or Parker dragged us into another dead end?"

"Hey! I don't do that! Most of the time!"

"I'm sure of it Logan, but his memory is kind of hazy, almost as if I couldn't read it. But I got a look of how his body worked and felt it, so yeah, he's a mutant."

"Guess that Jeanie and Scott might have to pay him a visit tomorrow?"

An end for day one, does something happen on day two for our protagonist?
