Byleth could tell by Sothis's reaction that this thing was bad news. Not to mention how all the remaining troops fled after releasing the massive reptile. "What is that!?" Bernie shouted in response to the Demonic Beast's appearance.

"It does not matter. Merely kill it." Jeritza, as straightforwardly violent as ever, quickly rode in and swiped at it with his scythe, the blow leaving a scratch against its right foreleg. Edelgard, on the other hand, rallied her fellow classmates. "This is going to be trouble... On your guards, everyone!" That got everyone to focus in.

'Time to see that training pay off.' Byleth thought as he developed a strategy. "Dorothea, Linhart! Keep everyone alive. Everyone else, keep it off balance!"

Between Edelgard and Byleth's commands, the class moved in almost perfect sync. Linhart and Dorothea got everyone back up in no time, and another swing from Jeritza was enough to throw the beast off balance. As Caspar and Ferdinand charged forward, it began breathing poison at them, but an expert shot from Bernadetta threw its aim off, enabling them to push it back.

"In Birgid, hunting beasts like this is simple as cake!" Petra shouted as she slashed deep into it's retreating thigh. The beast looked like it was about to frenzy, but that was the last thing it would ever do. Byleth, Edelgard, Monica, and Hubert each delivered a well placed strike to each of its legs, dropping it to the floor. Before it could even try to get up, Shez made a flying leap with his two swords (one that was on fire, Sothis noticed) and slashed deep into the creature from above. "Solar Prominence!" She shouted as the Demonic Beast crumpled, now dead.

"Oh no, Thales isn't going to like this! Retreat!" Kronya could be heard shouting, before the sounds of magic were heard briefly, before all was quiet.
