Kim South was about two years younger than Joanna, slim and fit looking as all troops were, despite spending most of her time in a command room onboard the Persephone.

Joanna hadn?t really noticed before, but damn her superior looked hot in that skin suit. Joanna took a deep breath and tried to concentrate. ?Since your team was ambushed on the surface, we?ve made three more attempts to get the probe, two have ended in the loss of the ground team, and the third has ended with the party, lead by Corporal Inez, pinned down on the surface?

?Pinned down by what?? Joanna asked, trying to concentrate.

?The local life forms, the planet is swarming with them, and they all seem to have the same objective.? Kim, Joanna noticed was blushing ?They all want to uh, mate with, human women, and they won?t take no for an answer. So far we haven?t managed to get near to the probe. I want you to lead a fourth group down to the planet, your job will be to recover the probe and rescue as many survivors as possible.?

Kim shivered ?I? I can do my best sir.? She licked her lips and thought military thoughts ?you said the primary objective is to get the probe??

?Those are my orders, but between you and me I want as many of our people found as possible.? The Lieutenant obviously wasn?t happy with her orders in this regard ?the doc wants to see you again after I briefed you, and we won?t be launching till tomorrow? try to get some rest till then.?

Joanna nodded ?I won?t let you down ma?am.?

Kim nodded "I know you won't. I have a briefing to go too, I'll see you for final briefing in the morning."
