The search continues

Ariane smiled quietly to herself. now she had Demon power, which meant her regeneration and healing skills would be vastly improved. Demons were always tough to kill because of their restorative magic, and now she could be a really big help in battle to Khala and Mira. She wondered whether she should tell them about the Demon, or not. They were still busy rooting through the wagon, so she decided to at least join them, just in case there were other magical trinkets in the bandits' treasure trove.

Ariane hopped up into the rear of the wagon, and began searching with her allies who were busily searching at the front of the wagon. Once again something had caught her eye. It was a jewel encrusted hilt and pommel of what she knew to be an Elven sword. She carefully uncovered where it had been hidden, and was amazed to find not only was there a long, katana like sword, but a set of daggers, a short sword, and a unique looking bow. All of them were in scabbards with the same jeweled pattern. They had to have belonged to a great Elvish warrior, or so she thought.

"Mira, Khala, come here!" she shouted excitedly. These weapons would greatly help her two friends. Elven weapons are often imbued with magic, which made them ten times more powerful than man made weapons. "Look at what I find for you guys!"

It didn't take too long for the other two women to join her. They looked at the weapons cache Ariane had found. "I wonder where these come from?" Mira wondered aloud.

"My guess is they stumbled upon an old tomb of an Elf lord, and these were buried with him, or her. More then likely it was a her. The two swans that make up the hilts are definitely feminine." Khala said to them. "In case, they're very powerful weapons. It would be to our advantage to take them."

"I agree" added Mira who had already unsheathed the long sword. "This is a work of art. It's a two handed weapon, but it's so light you can wield it with one." She brandished it with a flurry. "It's very well made, and well balanced. This was a good find Ariane."

Khala took the two daggers and the bow. They were indeed well balanced and well made. If the bow is also imbued with magic, it's possible she may never buy arrows again as many Elven magic bows were known to generate their own arrows. It might even be possible to summon various elemental arrows, depending on the need for them. The daggers she tucked away neatly in her belt. "I hope this is a magic bow" mused Khala. "All I have to do is summon arrows. I'll never have to buy them again."

Ariane held up the short sword, and unsheathed it. It glistened in the light of day as she tested its balance. "I guess I get the short sword" she smiled. "I wish there were a staff, but you can't have everything. Did you ladies find something to the front of the wagon?"

"Not much of anything, really. There's some jewelry, and some gold" Mira told her. "However, we did find an interesting robe you might be interested in."

Ariane raised an eyebrow. "Really? Can you get it for me? That is unless you like to watch me in my skimpy armor" she smiled knowingly, causing Mira's face to turn red.

Mira fetched the robe, and handed it to Ariane. "This is quite a find!" she exclaimed. "It has an aura of protection around it, which would make its wearer almost invincible."

"Perhaps we should search more" Khala said. "We may yet find armor that goes with these weapons, or maybe that robe is the armor?"

Ariane stood up and slipped the robe on. "How do I look, ladies?" she asked with a smile. "It's very light, and very comfortable. It's like I'm wearing nothing at all. I do wish it were a bit shorter." Suddenly, the robe changed its appearance from long and flowing to almost a mini dress.

"Be careful what you ask for!" giggled Khala. "It definitely looks good on you!"

Ariane decided it was time to tell her two companions about the Demon. "There's something I must tell you two" she began, holding the crystal necklace up for them to see.
