The rest of the week

The rest of the week was somewhat of a blur for Dean, each day identical to the one before, it was almost as if he was living the same day over and over again. He would wake up in the guest room and get ready for work in the morning using the hall bathroom and leave the house with Brooke and Chris snoozing in the master bedroom.

When Dean would arrive home, Chris would arrive nearly at the same time as him, either arriving before him or shortly after with pizzas in hand and now the addition of milkshakes to go with the pizza. Chris no longer asked Dean if he wanted anything as he shot him down already. Although the food was for Chris and Brooke, he still had four pizzas and two very large milkshakes.

Brooke no longer greeted Dean or Chris in the living room, Dean didn’t see Brooke all week, while Chris walked up the stairs to meet Brooke in the bedroom every day.

Dean would go to the kitchen and scrap together whatever he could, he started to pick up food on the way as Brooke no longer stocked the fridge. The pizza boxes from the night before would be in the kitchen completely empty, they would eat it all so Dean would never get any leftovers.

For the rest of the night Dean wouldn’t see Chris or Brooke as they would stay in their room all night doing who knows what. Dean could look at the cameras but he has no desire to do that anymore. Eventually Dean would go to bed and start the cycle all over again.

Finally it was Friday, the weekend, Dean came home from work but not before stopping at the grocery store to shop. He also made a few other errands, maybe subconsciously he was delaying going home. He arrived much later than he normally would after work.

Chris’ car was already at the house which wasn’t a surprise, he basically lived there at this point. Dean entered the house while Chris was walking down the stairs, he was in his work uniform. They exchanged hellos, Chris wasn’t as friendly with Dean because of how unfriendly Dean has been to him all week. “Off to work…” Chris said to Dean, Dean just said, “okay.”

So this was new, Chris was working at night as opposed to during the day like everyday this week. It made sense since it was the weekend, more people tend to order pizza.

Dean walked into the kitchen to cook the groceries he picked up earlier. Dean was alone with his thoughts and realized that he hasn’t seen or talked to Brooke since Monday. Also this is the first time they are alone in the house without Chris. Maybe he should take this opportunity to talk to her.

Dean cooked and ate his meal, his thoughts running wild on what he should say to Brooke or what to ask her. Their new game of their’s has taken an odd turn, she only sleeps with Chris and no one else. No one new has showed up to the house to evolve the game either. Dean also hasn’t invited anyone over and Brooke certainly isn’t allowed. Was Brooke waiting for Dean to mettle with the game? He should probably talk to her, who knows when Chris will be back.
