The power is still on for everyone else

To her astonishment, the brunette notices the power appears to be still working everywhere else on the street. The streetlights are still on, and she can see lights on in neighboring houses. “What the hell?” she thinks to herself and begins working her way to the fuse box near the kitchen. As her high heels hit the kitchen floor, the sound of her clicking steps is heard along with the creaking of a wooden floor. Blindly, Melissa searches around inside of her purse for her lighter, which she finally grabs. The flickering flame allows her to view the fuses, and none of them are tripped. She is completely confused now.

Just then, as the gorgeous Melissa stands beside the fuse box next to the kitchen, she hears the creaking floorboards again….but she is not moving! Her heart starts to beat quicker and a small amount of nervousness courses through her young body. Out of habit, she runs her hands through her hair and then sets down the lighter and grabs her purse. “I guess I’ll go get a drink at the bar then.” She says to herself and starts moving toward the door carefully in the darkened house. Just as she reaches the door, the sound of the creaking wood occurs once more, and Melissa pauses, curious about the sounds, which seem to coming from down the hallway.

Does she go investigate the noise, or keep heading out to her car, or what?
