The pool

Mackenzie found the pool just where Pauline said it would be. The Redhead wasted no time opening the door to the pool room and running inside. Her feet slapped against the moist floor an echo ringing out with each step. The pool area was massive with several amenities besides the pool itself including a hot tub and sauna. If Mackenzie room hadn't been so humid already or she wasn't already hot and sweaty she may have considered using one of these facilities. Instead, she made a b-line for the pool.

Mackenzie dipped her foot into the water and began swirling her big toe around. The water felt pleasant and cool so Mackenzie pulling her foot away and took a step back. The sweaty redhead contemplated how she would get in. Should she slowly lower herself in by climbing down the ladder or jump in quickly with an elegant swan dive. Mackenzie smiled to herself and decided to instead go with something more primal. She took a few more steps back before running towards the pool, jumping into the air, and hugging her legs.

"Cannonball," Mackenzie yelled as she crashed into the water with a smile on her face. She sank under the water with a great splash and the sweat and exhaustion that caked her body quickly evaporated, leaving only the cool refreshing feeling of the chlorinated water against her bare skin. Unfortunately, the pool was not as deep as Mackenzie assumed and the redhead kept descending until her plump rearend bounced against the pool bottom.

"Youch," Mackenzie cried underwater releasing a large air bubble and opening her eye to the chlorinated water. She quickly swam back up to the surface and began coughing up water. Blinded by the chlorine Mackenzie felt around for the edge of the pool as she tried to wipe her eyes clean.

"God, I don't think I can take much more of this." A woman clad in a strapless one-piece swimsuit said.

"Come on don't quit on me now," Her friend in the strapless two piece chimed in. "There are at least 10 minutes left on the timer, Amy. You should at least wait for the buzz."

"No, I'm done," Amy said standing up. "Some people might enjoy sitting in here and cooking like a Thanksgiving Turkey, but you know what Carol, I'm not one of them."

"Alright," Carol said throwing her arms in the air. "Let's go."

The two women exited the sauna early causing a cloud steam to disperse into the pool area.

"So, I guess saunas are just something we won't be enjoying together in the future." Carol joked. She was a tall Asian woman with her black hair done up in a bun.

"Oh, how will our friendship survive," Amy replied sarcastically. She was a Black woman with a medium sized afro.

"Really thought the hotel's exclusive session would have won you over." Carol sighed. "They're special you know. Hotel ups the steam level to make it more like a swedish saunas. Although Hotel policy only lets us use the higher dosage after dark to keep it from getting too crowded.

"Well, it just felt like hot air to me." Amy disagreed as the pair grabbed the two towels they had left outside the sauna and wrapped them around their bodies before heading towards the exit. "By the way. Why did we have to come here with nothing but a towel and swimsuit?"

"Trust me you don't want to put your clothes on right after a schvitz." Carol argued. "Those sweat stains will never come out."

"Well, I wish we could have at least brought a tshirt or something." Amy said looking at Carol and herself noticing that their swimsuits were completely obscured by the towels. "Because right now it kind of looks like weren't both stark n-"

Amy statement was suddenly interrupted when a mysterious redheaded woman bursted out of the water coughing up a storm. The women stared in surprise as the redhead slowly swam over to the pools edge to catch her breath.

"Are you ok?" Carol asked when the woman finally stopped coughing. Mackenzie wiped the red hair from her face and looked up at the two seemingly towel clad woman.

"I'm fine," She breathed, "Just got a little too excited, that's all."

"Well, you should probably just take it easy then," Amy chimed in. "You shouldn't overexert yourself. Especially while on vacation."

"Your probably right," the redhead replied folding her arms over edge of the pool while she regained her strength. "I'm Mackenzie by the way.

"Amy. Nice to meet you."

"Carol. This your first time at the hotel?"

"Yeah, I just learned about this hotel's special policies. You know about them right."

"Oh yes I do." Carol smiled. "In fact, I just tried to get my best friend here to give it a shot. But she gave up quickly. It was just too much for her."

"You know what Carol." Amy said clasping her towel. "I don't need your condescension. I don't even get how anyone could enjoy that. I felt like I was going to pass out after only a few minutes."

"It's not for everyone." Mackenzie said. "There's no shame in being embarrassed."

"I wasn't embarrassed!" Amy refuted. Carol began to laugh at her friend's defensiveness and Mackenzie couldn't help from joining in. Seeing her best friend and some stranger laughing at her expense caused Amy's face to turn red with anger. "Oh, screw both of you. I'm heading back to the room. Carol why don't you jist drop the towel and enjoy the hotel with your new friend. Bye!"

Amy marched out of the pool room, her bare feet loudly stomping with each step.

"I've got to go after her considering I'm the one with the room key after all." Carol giggled, holding up a keycard. "But she's got a point we should hang iut some time. I'd like to have a friend for some late-night fun."

"Late night?" Mackenzie asked curious about the distinction.

"Yeah, the rules state we can only do it at night. Guess you don't know all rules hmm."

"I guess not. Thanks for telling me. I could have gotten into some real trouble otherwise."

Carol simply nodded and said her goodbyes to Mackenzie before running out of the poolroom after her friend just missing Mackenzie push off the side of the pool in all her glory to continue her skinny dip.
