The police show up

In hotel room, the tired Olivia strips off her dress and crawls under the covers. You follow suit and it takes some coaxing to get her to have sex with you, though she's an enthusiastic participant once she gets into it. Eventually, she falls asleep on top of you, resting her head on your chest.

You and Olivia wake up in the morning to a loud thumping on the door. Gently pushing Olivia off on her side, you climb out of bed and grab a bathrobe, wrapping it around yourself before tossing another one over to Olivia on the bed.

You answer the door and see a police officer.

"Sir, we're investigating a ****. Did you see anything suspicious last night?" the policeman asks.

"No, where did it happen?"

"Down the hallway. Some woman named Caroline Pinke. Apparently she's here for a bachelorette party. Poor girl. Okay, thanks for your time."

You're stunned as you close the door. Olivia is sitting up on the bed and she's crying having heard the conversation. You go to comfort her and both of you hurriedly get dressed and proceed over to Caroline's room where the police have cordoned off the area. A detective reluctantly lets you two by after Olivia shows him her ID and tells him that she's related to Caroline.

In the room, it's a mess and it looks like it had been tossed. Caroline's body had already been removed. The detective interviews Olivia about last night and tells her that he suspects it to be a case of robbery gone wrong. Caroline's cash, credit cards, and jewelry, including the huge diamond engagement ring on her ring, were all gone. According to the him, she had been strangled and possibly ****. The big shock came when he said they found no signs of **** entry, and it was possible the door had been unlocked. That's why Olivia and you realize you two may not have locked the door when you had left her last night.

Olivia leaves out the part about you and Caroline having sex and the detective lets her go once he's satisfied. You accompany her to break the news to the other girls here for the festivities, and soon have 5 crying girls to comfort.

By the time Olivia is able to compose herself, she pulls you aside.

"John, we need to find who did it," she says. There's a grit in her expression that you've never seen before.

"We will. I promise you."

"The police might suspect you if they find your DNA. I know you didn't do it."

"Yeah, but I should be fine. They can't match it with me anyway since I'm not in the database. Don't worry, I'll use my powers to find Caroline's murderer and bring them to justice." It's the first time you've affirmatively confirmed your powers to Olivia and she proceeds to ask you to tell her more about them. Since she's grieving, you decide not to withhold anything, including the part about you using mind control to get her to give you the mansion and live with you.

"Hmm... okay," Olivia says when you're finished. "I don't know how to feel about the circumstances of how we met, but I like you. It's a genuine feeling, I know it. As long as you don't use mind control on me any further, I'm cool with our situation. I don't mind you fucking other girls, but I think I should move into your room when we get back."

You smile and kiss her.

"Deal. Let's go find this murderer."
