The park

Ashley decided to go to the park. While it was cold right now, it would warm up, and she always enjoyed getting a book and reading at the nearby park.

Though Ashley realized she’d need a book. So, she sighed and walked back up to her room, and grabbed a book she was currently reading. It was a bit of a saucy romance book, one of her guilty pleasures. It was one of those “it’s so bad it’s good” scenarios.

After making her way back out, Ashley made her way across campus, saying hello and good morning to those she passed, who returned the greetings. She giggled as she walked through the fields all the way to the end of campus.

She stood there at the edge of what was considered campus. She looked forward as the crosswalk, signaling the transition between the campus and the rest of the town. She took a deep breath and walked across, meaning she was officially in town.

It felt exhilarating, and only more so when she continued on her way, passing by people. One even bumped into her arm, and she could very clearly feel it. He apologized, but she wasn’t able to speak, simply gripping her arm and shaking. She shook it off as best she could and kept going.

Eventually she reached the park, where some children were playing. She was a little surprised to see them this early, and the thought of children being nearby while she was in this state of dress made her feel nervous...and super excited.

Carefully, she did her best to avoid causing any attention, and walked over to an empty bench. She sat down, mindlessly crossing her legs, and opened the book. She was acutely aware of her butt pressed against the coat as she sat down. She tried to ignore it for now and get at least some reading done.

However, she would soon find that to not be the case...
