They look to the door. Brendan runs to the bedroom and changes into normal body clothes on the floor. Amy goes to the door and looks through the peephole. She sees the owner of the AirBNB pounding on the door. She opens it and he runs in panicked. The owner of the place is a elderly gentleman with a hair on the sides of his bald head. Hunched a bit but average height. He starts yelling and Brendan walks out with a confused look as Amy is calming him down. "Dave, Dave, Dave. What is it?" Amy asks. Dave settles enough to yell "DEMON! THERE IS A DEMON!" Brendan and Amy look concerned at each other before Dave pulls out his phone and shows them a photo. They look and see the roof of the house and a reddish shape of Brendan with wings and horns flying. "I have a camera on the roof for bird watching. Bait. I throw bait in the field across the street. All kinds of birds show up and this is the best way to see them. I checked it for today and this was there." Dave says through heavy breathing. They nervously look at each other again and Brendan finally says "I don't know what that is. A bird like that must be rare. Sure its not a vulture or something?" Dave looks at it. Amy says "I'll make some tea. Just sit down. Whatever it is, can not get us here." Brendan tries to calmly talk Dave through the photo. Amy comes by with three mugs. Dave drinks his tea as the couple tells him about folklore they found in a Google search. Dave calms down as they tell him Native Americans thought it was something dark or demonic but over the years and reports it was usually night time birds of prey with prey. "Oh that makes sense. Whoo. Sorry for bothering you kids. Listen for the disturbance, I'll refund part of the rent." Amy and Brendan argue saying it's fine and the photo confused them at first too. Dave finally breaks and agrees with them. "Okay but you must take some of my wife's cookies home with you." he says. Brendan and Amy nod and walk Dave back to his truck. As Dave drives away, they head back in sighing in relief. "Oh god that was close. Like we could have killed him. He almost had a heart attack." Amy says as Brendan just stares off into space. "Yeah." he says "I think I'm going to be me for a while." Amy walks over, takes him to the bedroom to clean up before bed.
