The outside path

Figuring the path along the shore is a good place to start, you can't help but first test out what happens if you touch the water. Walking up to the edge, you dip your foot in, and it seems to almost spread out into the surrounding fluid, losing its defined shape. However, you can still feel it completely, and will your "toes" to wiggle back and forth, with it's rough shape appearing to move just under the surface of the water. You decide to try a bit more, and move to put a whole leg in, but lose your balance and fall in completely.

In an instant, the dress is gone, leaving you naked in the clear water, but your legs still retain their general shape. Almost as if through thought, they move forwards through the liquid, bringing the top half of your body up to the surface, and then moving you back to shore in an unnerving sliding motion. They again gain their clear borders once out of the water, though they continue to drip fluids every so often, and almost feel a bit stronger, as if invigorated. Once you leave the water, as well, the dress returns, clearly just not wanting to get wet.

With a brief shudder, you simply move on, watching the treeline for any sign of a home. Starting with the path that's currently on your left- right from the cave's perspective- you start to shamble along the shoreline, eyes focused on the treeline for any sign of habitation. You don't have far to go, however, as after about 50 feet you run out of pathway, the walls of the cave curving away into the open air. For the first time in forever, you're truly outside of the dungeon, but it's hardly a relief, as the only thing in front of you is more swamp.

Turning, you head back the opposite way, and are met with a much longer path. It appears to curve slightly inwards, back towards the dead end, and you walk for almost a mile, passing by another cave opening after about halfway. Similarly, the path ends, opening up into simply water and more swamp, however you can kind of tell that the entire walkway makes a clear circle.
