The old arcade, an interesting development

Blair's mind continued to run over the possible options, but, for one reason or another, she couldn't really settle on one as of yet. Coincidentally, she happened to be driving by the old arcade at that very moment. It looked abandoned, this sight made Blair's already aching heart, sink even lower. She began to wonder, 'Just how much more sorrow will this day bring?' Meanwhile, her mind began to recall several moments in her childhood, a time when she had played many different video games within that very arcade. She would crush almost all of the opposition. Heck, she even won the local tournament a time or two. She hadn't had a lot of time recently, but it wasn't that long ago that she had enjoyed playing a few games there. If her memory was serving her right, it was only a few months ago since she had last played a few games there. She found herself making a turn towards the back alley behind the old arcade while thinking, 'It is hard to see it like this. Were they really doing that badly?' She looked down after bringing her car to a stop as the truth of the matter came to her. With how many changes have been happening within the video game industry, she guessed it wasn't all that surprising. Still, it was a shame to see this place like this. It had once brought her and many others such great amounts of happiness.

Blair looked over the building slowly and began to wonder, 'Would this even make a good hideout? Heck, could she even get inside?' She looked around a moment before turning off her car and stepping out. She found an entry point near a trashcan, but it was locked. Once Blair was confident that no one was around, she decided to use Telekinesis on the door's lock, in the hopes that she would be able to move its locking mechanism. - 5 Mp After trying to move the mechanism inside with Telekinesis for its full duration, a notification popped up that gave her a start.

Blair started to nibble on her bottom lip while thinking, 'Well, that answers that, but I wonder. If I focus on a shape while using Telekinesis would that speed things along?' She closed her eyes and tried again with Telekinesis, focusing on the details of the key's shaft with ridges that would slowly adjust to the right size inside the door knob's hole. - 5 Mp It wasn't long before she was starting to imagine it slipping into the hole, adjusting to the correct size and shape for this lock. After a moment, she could feel the inner mechanism of the lock giving way to her prodding, a soft clicking sound signaled her success, allowing her to turn the telekinetic key to unlock the door. When she opened her eyes, she was met by two new flashing exclamations that she allowed to pop up.

Blair smiled after reading that, letting out a sigh of relief and thought. 'Good, finally things are starting to look up. Now, let's see what's inside.' Blair knew there were several possibilities, but would she find anything good? Perhaps a few arcade game cabinets that were still working? Maybe a skill book or two that would be useful? Would there be nothing of value? Or worse, did she trip a silent alarm while trespassing? Well, she would find out soon.
