The night before

Kayla spends most of her week as normal, designing outfits, posting the occasional photo of her modeling some of her complete products online, playing games on occasion, and doing the bare minimum in some of her classes. Thursday night she receives an email from her Art teacher reminding her about the modeling contract she agreed to for the next day, and went into specifics on things to bring, what kind of poses, and how long she will be modeling, but Kayla was too busy trying to write a last minute essay, which needed to be turned in online by midnight; and barely read it, only seeing that she needed to come to the art class at 7 am before classes start tomorrow.

The next morning

Kayla arrives at school, still quite groggy from the early morning, and having slept late due to the essay the night before. But slowly makes her way through the still empty school halls towards the art room, and the waiting teacher.

A few minutes later she arrives, finding the teacher there, who looks a bit confused at Kayla.

Teacher: “Kayla, I’m glad you got here on time, but where’s the rest of your stuff?”

Kayla: “What stuff? I have my backpack right here?”

Teacher: “Did you not read the whole email I sent? There was a list of outfit types to bring for later, as well as a bunch of extra info, like the fact the modeling period will take up the final three periods today, I got permission from your other teachers to borrow you. I wanted you in early today to discuss what all I’m going to have you do, but since you didn’t bring the necessary outfits.. I have to change my plans a bit. Sigh, ok well you go to breakfast, I’ll call you back during lunch so you can hear the new plan before modeling this afternoon, alright?”

Kayla: “Alright.. sorry miss, I was distracted last night and just didn’t see the rest of the email”

Teacher: “I.. I don’t want to hear it, I’ll think of something else to do for the modeling.”
