The next week…

Wednesday afternoon, as you are taking a break from your WFH gig, you hear a knock on the door. You open it and find an under five foot tall girl.

“Can I help you?” you ask.

“I’m Jade. I’m new to the area. Just wanted to introduce myself.” She extends a hand.

You take it and gently shake it. “Pleased to meet you, Jade!”

“Are you off work? Did you want to take me out to eat?” She asks boldly.

“I was able to make a snack if you wanted to come in…” you trail off.
