The next morning

Mia: “Seth, think about the babies. This stress isn’t good for anyone. Especially them.”

Claire: “Yeah, besides, this is exactly what we wanted, right? Aaron and I have talked, and we’re breaking up so he and Dakota can be together.”

Aaron: “That’s right. It’s what we both decided.”

Dakota: “I know it sounds crazy, but yeah. We think this is the best move for all of us.”

Seth: “What the hell is going on with you guys? First, the investigation is everything. And now, you’re just... giving up and splitting up? This isn’t like you. I don’t get it.”

Mia: “Seriously, Seth, stop being so stubborn. Just let it go already.”

Claire: “Yeah, we’re making decisions for our futures. You need to respect that.”

Seth: “Ugh. Fine. I get it. But this feels... wrong.”

Dakota: “It’s not about being right or wrong, it’s about what’s best for everyone. We’re just trying to move forward.”

Aaron: “Exactly. We’ve all been through enough.”

Mia: “We’ll figure out the rest when we’re ready. Right now, the focus is on the babies.”

Seth couldn’t believe what he was reading. Just yesterday, they were more eager than he was to figure out what was going on, but now, it felt like something had made them change their minds—suddenly.
