The next day

I arrived at Mepharmco the next day at 5:45.

A receptionist took my name and gave me a medical history questionnaire to fill out. Once I finished up the form she told me that Dr. Weissman would see me in exam room 3. I followed the woman down a narrow hallway with bare walls to the exam room.

The room was surprisingly bare, no cabinets and no medical apparatus. Just an uncomfortable looking steel chair and matching table. After a few minutes a man in a lab coat entered.

I extended my hand, ?Hi, are you Dr. Weissman.?

Without shaking my hand the man replied coldly, ?Please be seated.?

I sat down, the chair was more uncomfortable than it looked.

As the doctor removed small case from his lab coat pocket he said ?Roll up your left sleeve.? Without another word he injected me and exited the room.

Soon after the receptionist returned with a packet of paperwork. She explained that for the next 2 weeks I was to fill the provided daily journal. At the end of 2 weeks I was to return the journal and receive my payment. She left before I could ask her any questions.

I rolled my sleeve back down and exited the facility. On my way out I didn?t see anyone.
