The next day...

And so, the week passes by. You've been delivered a pair of pajamas to sleep in, as well as two other sets of clothing to wear while others are in the wash. You spend your days interacting with other residents and playing games. You make a couple of friends, who you hang out with during the day, but at night you always seem to drop by the lounge and watch television with Ryuko. At first you only came by because you wanted to see her again, but it became tradition. It always went the same way. You'd come in and catch her in the middle of some show, you'd scold her for forgetting to eat, you'd reluctantly bring her a snack from the kitchen, and you'd spend an hour or two quietly watching some old movie together before heading off to bed.

You wake up in your bed. It's Friday. The seventh day you've been here. If Alex is to be believed, you'll receive a message on the screen by your door tomorrow. You take a shower, get dressed for the day, and brush your hair. Then, you make your way to breakfast, and sit between two of your friends.

The first one's name is Cammy. She has long blonde hair braided up in a ponytail. She wears a red beret and a green skintight leotard, that exposes her supple buttocks. You're thankful that you didn't end up with such a revealing outfit, but she doesn't seem to care. She's perky and cheerful, and you have a sneaking suspicion that she actually enjoys flaunting her sex appeal. [Cammy White, Street Fighter]

The other one's name is Weiss. She has pure-white hair and blue-white eyes and a dress to match. Her hair is also done in a ponytail, but it's put to one side of her head and is left unbraided. She has a somewhat more serious and quiet but kind personality, and is always seen with Cammy, serving as a counterbalance to her cheerful personality. [Weiss Schnee, RWBY]

You two chat for a while, eating your breakfast, until you bring up the fact that Ryuko doesn't seem to be around for most meals.

"Yeah, she's always in that funk of hers, so she always forgets to eat." Weiss replies. "I've seen her come in here to grab snacks from time to time though, so I don't think she's starving. Plus, you know how she is. She doesn't exactly use a lot of energy. All she does is sit on the couch all day..."

"Alex says that we don't have to worry about getting overweight, thanks to the machine..." Cammy chimes in. "But still, I wouldn't want to take another trip in that thing. If Ryuko's not careful, she'll get called on by Alex, and no one wants that. That's why I always spend at least five hours working out a day!" Cammy flexes her arm, showing off her bulging bicep.

"You know, despite Alex claiming that she doesn't mess with people's brains, I think you're the exception, Cammy." You respond, dryly. "I think she messed with your brain on purpose so that you'd want to exercise and look more like the fighter you're based off of."

"You don't know that!" Cammy retorts.

"You told us that you didn't ever exercise before your transformation, Cammy." Weiss chimes.

"Yeah, but I'm doing it because I've turned over a new leaf! I'm a new ma-I mean woman! I'm going to get so fit, I'll be the talk of the entire hall! No one will be able to beat me in arm wrestling! No one!"

Cammy bursts into maniacal laughter, drawing a few eyes to your table. However, one the watchers found out what the source was, they disregarded Cammy and returned to their meals.

"You've been bringing up Ryuko a lot, May." Weiss spoke up, Cammy's laughter still going on in the background. "And it's no secret that you spend time together with her every night."

"I-It's not like that!" You blubber, but your voice totally give away your feelings.

"It's TOTALLY like that." Weiss replies. "You should tell her how you feel, May. We've got a lot of time to kill, we might as well spend our days with... some...one...el- WILL YOU STOP LAUGHING ALREADY?! IT'S NOT THAT FUNNY!"

Cammy shut up, instantly.

"But... But it's only been a week! If I got a lot of time to kill, surely I don't need to rush things! I have no idea if she's into me either..."

"Look, May... Are you telling me you haven't noticed? Ryuko NEEDS someone like you right now. She's lonely. She needs someone to truly love her, not one of those... Well, you'll understand soon enough. The point is, Ryuko's in a rut, and a girlfriend will be good for her. It's the perfect opportunity."

Weiss picked up her dishes and stood up.

"Talk to one of the pinks. Have them prepare something for Ryuko for your snack tonight. And when you bring it in, tell her how you feel."

"R-right. I gotcha." You stammer.

"Good. I'm counting on you, May." Weiss smiled, and brought both her and Cammy's dishes to over to the counter to be washed.
