Chapter 6 by Cantraps Cantraps

What's next?

The next day, Lois goes to work.

The next day a new Lois went to work in the Daily Planet. The changes to her body were hidden under a facade of normality. The wickedness within hidden by an illusion she'd created by manipulating the air around her. To any external observers Lois looked much as she ever did, although they may have noticed higher heels and a deeper cleavage than her normal outfit. The only remnant of her physical changes only became visible when you stared deep into her eyes and saw a glowing blue spark deep in her pupils and with a couple of extra buttons undone on her top nobody was looking at her eyes for long today.

"Lois," shouted Perry, seeing her walk past his office door.

Her head snapped round. How dare her shout her name. She smiled demurely and stepped into the office.

"What can I do for you boss?" she said, putting a slow curl on the word boss as if he was the most important person in the world.

"Er... How did last night go? I haven't got your article yet."

"Oh, it was very revealing. Let me show you what I found."

Lois stepped round to his side of Perry's desk and put her hand on his shoulder. Perry looked up at her expectantly. Lois placed her hand on the back of his head, running her fingers seductively through his hair.

"What are you..."

He never got the chance to finish the thought. Lois charged her powers and let the energy flow from her hand into Perry's unprotected skull.

"My mind was rewritten last night boss. The girl you once ordered around is gone. All that is left is wicked old me. I was changed by accident, now I want to see if I can do it on purpose! Either you'll be my **** or you'll die. I don't really mind which!"

She placed her other hand on his head, enveloping it in the bright blue sparks and focused on the signals within, reshaping them to her whim. After a few seconds she let go and Perry's head flopped to his desk. She flicked him on the ear and gave him a quick shock to revive him and soon Perry was sat up in his chair, grinning evilly.

"Great Caesar's Ghost! I feel fantastic! How may I serve you Mistress Livewire."

Lois smiled at her first ****. It had been remarkably easy to penetrate the electrical impulses of his brain and change them to her liking. His mind was totally reshaped into obedience. His life would now be dedicated to serving her every whim.

"There is a power source underneath Metropolis somewhere, old and powerful. I need you to put the full resources of the Daily Planet to finding it. Every reporter, every researcher must focus 100% on finding the power I desire."

"Yes Mistress, right away," said Perry, before picking up the phone and starting to blast orders down it in his customary manner.

Lois stepped out of Perry’s office and looked around. The people buzzing round the office, busy with their pointless jobs were just objects to her now, things to be manipulated to serve her whims. There was one other person Lois needed to see before she left this place for good. She strode across the main office, ignoring the looks she was getting from the male half of the staff and a couple of the women, and perched herself on the edge of Jimmy Olson's desk, her long legs crossed in front of him.

"Hey Jimmy," she purred, running her foot up his thigh.

"Hey Lois. Erm… find what you need last night?"

"Definitely, story of a lifetime, but that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. I found something else in the truck. Some 'private' videos, if you know what I mean?"

"Ah fuck. You found those? Look Lois, please don't tell Perry, he’ll have me out of the door in a second if he knew. I only did it once and I've never, well, used them."

Lois put her finger under his chin and lifted his eyes to hers.

"I won't tell, under one condition," she whispered, bringing their lips so close they were almost touching. Jimmy was suddenly lost, staring into the hypnotic swirling blue pattern in Lois' eyes. Lois noticed his blank face. She’d never heard of the old Livewire having hypnotic powers. Whatever Lesley had done to her had made her more powerful than the old villainess.

"Anything, just don't tell on me."

"You're going to tell me where Supergirl lives,"

"Of course I'll tell you. I'll do anything for you Lois."

"Good. Now come with me," said Lois, pulling Jimmy up from his chair and into the empty editing suite. Anyone watching the door would have seen a few flashes of light, nothing unusual for the editing room, and then Jimmy and Lois emerge after a few minutes. The only difference was the sly grin on Jimmy's face, matching the newly rewritten patterns of his mind.

Hours later Lois was stood on a rooftop opposite a non-descript apartment building. 3rd floor, second window along was the apartment of Linda Danvers, the woman Lois now knew to be the alter-ego of Supergirl. Power cables lay overhead, stretching from the roof where Lois was stood to the building she was watching. Lois reached out a finger to the junction box, touched it and vanished in a blue flash.
