The next appointment

Again one week went by and John came to Dr. Valentine for his therapy. Like the week before she asked John how it went. But again there wasn't a change. John still came very often and easily.

"Then I don't see any other option." Dr. Valentine said with a staged disappointment.

"Is there really no other way?" John asked still not wanting to get his chest enlarged.

"Sorry, but no." Dr. Valentine stood up and opened the door. "Could you please make an appointment with Dr. Gonzales?" She asked her secretary. "Make it as soon as possible. We have an acute case of 'Masculus-magna-ubera'."

"Yes, Dr. Valentine." Replied the secretary just before Dr. Valentine closed the door and went back to her chair.

"Does it have to be as soon as possible?" John asked not understanding why it had to be. He already had spent four weeks with the therapy, so in his eyes one week more or less didn't matter.

"The sooner we start with the treatment, the more time we have." Dr. Valentine said. "And the sooner you are healed."

John sighed. "If you say so."

"That brings me to the next question. Do you live alone? Or still with your parents?" Dr. Valentine asked.

"What does it matter?" John asked.

"It matters a lot, John." Dr. Valentine replied. "If you live alone, you have to get prepared to be away for some time. If you live with your parents, I have to talk with them about it. And then there are the costs." Dr. Valentine got very serious. "I assume you don't have much money to pay for for the whole treatment."
