The news

You reach back home, still in shock of the night you had. You see your phone has had several missed calls and voice mails from Courtney.

You're not sure what to tell her so you just dropped a message saying you came back home late and will give her a call in the evening.

As you grab something and sit down to eat, your father comes by.

"Hey there kis, where have you been all night?"

"Just out with some friends, what's up?"

" I've got some good news and some not so good news. Which one do you want first?"

"The not so good news first."

"So I tried calling ETM this morning to confirm on the contract talks, and it turns out their CEO, Ian doesn't work there anymore. He apparently resigned and they are going through some change in structure. That Lady Rachel we met is the new face of ETM now."

"Wow, are you serious?" You say out loud. But inside you are shocked even more. You didn't expect these events to actually happen, certainly not so soon.

"And now for the good news. Your medicals were excellent. All this chaos at their place doesn't affect you one bit and they want to get you on their roster."

"Holy shit...that is excellent!" You say as you hug your father tight and celebrate with him.

A few minutes later you receive a call on your phone from an unknown number, "Hello Alex, I'm guessing you heard the news."

Guessing the females voice to be Rachel's,"I'm sorry, is that you Rachel?"

"Yes, but I prefer Ms. Ginny now. I admire your decision from this morning. And that changes nothing, I still want you to come sign for me, now it'll be still for ETM. Come on in with your father and lawyer, I have a few pleasant surprises lined up for you."

"Of course, we will be there," you say overjoyed.
