The nearby singles/divorcee bar

You've decided to check out a nearby bar that has the reputation of being a singles/divorcee bar. A couple of your friends have gone in the past and told you that hooking up with the older women there is like shooting fish in a barrel, but never having been yourself, you don't really know what to expect. Pulling into the parking lot right around 8:30, you're a little surprised that you have trouble finding a spot because of all the cars already there. You're used to going out with your friends later than this, but have noticed that people older than you seen to like to go out a little earlier; apparently 8:30 is right around the peak time. Managing to find a spot towards the back of the lot, you climb out of the car, lock it up, and make your way to the door.

Entering the bar, you're greeted by the sound of 80's music playing on the speakers; loud enough to hear it, but not so loud that you won't be able to have a conversation with someone. As you look around, you see there's a decent amount of people, though it's not as crowded as you would have thought based on the parking lot. There's a few different groups of people talking and laughing with each other, other people are dancing, some are sitting at high-top tables drinking and eating appetizers, and others are sitting at the bar. Deciding to first get yourself a drink, you make your way to the bar.

You manage to find an open spot, get the attention of the bartender, and order yourself a gin and ginger; you only recently ordered this on the advice from a friend and have found you feel less full than with beer and that it gives you a better buzz. While waiting for your drink, you take the opportunity to take in more of your surroundings. Glancing down the bar, your surprised to see your former high school English teacher, Mrs. Kapowski. She looks to be alone and is sipping some colorful concoction from a martini glass. Not the most attractive of your former teachers, she was pleasant in class, was one of the "cooler" teachers you had, and always seemed to like you.

Tonight, though, she looks a little better than you remember. She's wearing a black cocktail dress, has her strawberry-blonde hair pulled half back and left the other half down, and she's wearing more makeup than she would have at school.
