Chapter 3 by Phallus Athena Phallus Athena

What's next?

Class Orientation

The mortal realm of the late-1990s. A rainy day on the east coast.

Yesterday, you had settled into your dorm, dropping off most of your belongings without organizing them. Today was your first set of classes. They were all orientation and a few assignments were handed out. One of them required you to get a book on Medieval Demonology.

As you make your way to the library to check out the book, you notice the sign outside. It says “Morehead University Library”. For a split second, you think you might be in the wrong place; you’re attending Morten University, after all… but then you think it must be some sort of prank. As you enter the library, you notice that it's mostly filled with young women. In fact, your classes (aside from a male counterpart or two) were almost entirely composed of girls, and it gave the distinct impression that this was an all-girls school. All your teachers were female, too, come to think of it. The more women, the better, you suppose.

It’s quiet in the library, as one would expect. The old wooden railings of the historic building lead up and down to many levels, and on each one were tons of books filling shelves that stood eight feet tall. It would be easy to get lost here, as there were no clearly defined patterns to the arrangements. Luckily, you see the help desk right away and an assistant librarian talking with some guy, probably another student.

You get in line and wait. The librarian is young, probably also a student or recent graduate, and very busty. She has striking red hair, is wearing a form fitting green sweater, and seems to be getting along well with the person in front of you.

You take a moment to check your phone, and you see that you have two new text messages. The first one is from a number you know, a friend that you lost touch with over the past few years, and the other is from a number you don’t know. You could read them now, but you also want to hurry up and get this book - and the librarian should be finishing with this guy soon enough.

What do you do?
