The merry widower

It was a sombre day for Linda, her and her husband John had been at the funeral of one of their neighbour Elizabeth. Linda and John had returned to Elizabeth's house for the wake and in the corner of the living room Linda saw Elizabeth's husband Brian.

Linda was wearing her black high heals and her little black dress that was her usual outfit for cocktail parties and funerals, it was a little low cut and her breasts did heave when she breathed but it felt good and was a respectful length so that her black stocking tops weren't on show.

Linda left John speaking with some of the other neighbours and walked over to Brian who sat in his wheelchair in the corner of the room alone, Brian was in his late 70 , his white hair was going thin and liver spots covered his shaking hands, many years earlier Brian had several health issues resulting in him being confined to a wheelchair, Elizabeth had been his care giver but with her now gone he had to rely on NHS nurses attending at his house three times a day to dress him and prepare his meals.

Brian saw Linda walking towards him and gave a weak smiled, she took his shaking hand and told him how sorry she was for his loss, Elizabeth had been a good neighbour and had babysat her children on many occasions, Brian thanked her and pulled her close with what little strength he had and whispered in her ear "Can I speak with you in private later" Linda nodded and went to get him a cup of tea.

As the wake ended people were leaving, Linda busied herself by putting plates and glasses away when she saw Brian alone, she said to him " You wanted to speak in private"

Brian swallowed and looked uncomfortable

"I have a very personal favour to ask, as you know since my Elizabeth died just over a month ago I have had nurses come in to my house to help me with things like changing and washing my body"

Linda nodded unsure where the conversation was going. Brian continued.

"Over the last few weeks I have became excited by these young nurses fussing over me and I am ashamed to say this but my old chap has gotten hard when they have been washing it."

Linda gulped and felt sorry for the man, Brian sighed.

"In the past Elizabeth would have laughed at it or even given me a hand so that it went away but she is gone now, I have been warned twice that if the nurses see my thing hard again they will stop coming and I will be put in a old folks home, I will loose all the memories that I have built of Elizabeth and me in this house".

Linda was heart broken and her soft eyes filled with tears, she took the old mans hand in hers and held it against the soft skin of her heaving bosom. John looked at her and said

"Apart from family you are the only adult female that I know and can speak to, I have given this a lot of though and I am going to ask the impossible, I've tried it myself and it just wont work, can you take care of my manhood for me please, I can give you money if you want"

Linda's mouth dropped open and she let go of Brian's hand which fell to her lap, She said

"I have to think about this Brian you are asking a lot, I have never seen you in that light"

Brian smiled and said "I'm sure you will do what you conscious thinks is right"

Linda and John were the last to leave, a nurse had arrive to put Brian to bed, Linda was taken by how young and pretty she was and was sure that if she was a man she would have issues with her "Old chap".

Linda went home and spent the night thinking about the situation, through about her church group and that she had helped countless less fortunate souls and this was no different, she would have to do the right thing so that Brian could live the rest of his life in dignity.
