The main auction

We go back into the auction room and sit down in the same seats as before. "Who are you going to get?" Reginald asks me quietly, leaning over Sylvanas.

"I need to see how expensive the first characters are going to be. I've set a limit and that's what matters" I answer him, dodging the question a bit.

"If you want I can also tell you who I'm going to bid on." I nod at him and he continues "I was thinking about buying Cersei Lannister. I am also interested in Deanerys and Sansa. One of the three I will definitely grab."

After Reginald finishes his sentence, the spotlight comes back on and the auctioneer comes back on stage.

"I'm glad to see them all back here. We now continue with the main auction. These are characters from the popular television series "Game of Thrones." Also, this is the lowest instance number sold here in a long time."

The guests applaud. "Without beating around the bush any further, let's get started." The auctioneer presses his button again and The Beamer comes on.

Yara Greyjoy's picture appears first. Next to her picture are a few dates of her. Caught at the end of season 2 at the age of 31.

"The starting bid for Yara is $100,000" says the auctioneer and the first signs go up.

Since neither Reginald nor I are bidding we can look at how far people are willing to bid. A few of the guests bid only a little, because they just wanted to see if they could get a bargain. Of the real bidders, the first ones go out at $400,000.

The rest of the bidders go even higher until one wins at $632,000.

"That's not bad" I say to the two. "Yes here you can get rid of your money quickly. But wait and see when the characters in demand come in."

The next characters aren't very relevant to us either and the prices are about in Yara's range, with many a bit higher.

"Our next character knows more than many others, it is the Wildlings wife Ygritte. With her, the starting bid is $300,000."

The first ones start bidding again. "350,000$ for number 4" says the auctioneer. I raise my board "$380,000." "380,000$ for number 17" the auctioneer gives again and the next one raises his board.

At $970,000, it's just me and another guest. "980,000$ for number 19" says the auctioneer and looks at me. "1,000,000$" I tell him and raise my sign.

"The first bid of $1,000,000 today from number 17" says the auctioneer. No one stirs. "1.000.000$ for the first, for the second..."

A board goes up "$1,100,000" says a man. "$1,100,000 for number 93, going once, going twice, and sold to 93."

"Too bad Ygritte is really hot" Reginald says to me. "Sorry it didn't work out" Sylvanas also says. I smile at both of them.

"That's ok. Ygritte was only number 2 on my list anyway. Number 1 should be next now" I return.

The auctioneer continues and presses the button for the new Beamer image.
