The mages.

Ariane and Q’rin were wandering the corridors of the maze, the busty sorceress having cast a spell to illuminate their way.

‘I see you have finally mastered that spell,’ Q’rin chuckled.

Ariane rolled her eyes, ‘Yes, yes, and you figured everything in an instant.’

‘Some people have natural talent, what can I say? Do you still have that problem with unexpected wild magic?’ Q’rin grinned.

‘Your arrogance is just … infuriating,’ Ariane huffed, ‘No wonder no woman wants you.’

‘There are plenty of women who have wanted me, I’ll have you know,’ Q’rin growled back.

‘Mhm, how much did you pay them?’ Ariane said.

Q’rin didn’t answer her, making Ariane smile in victory. They both continued down the corridor until they came to a chamber that was illuminated by strange glowing plants. They grew all around the chamber, some giant mushrooms among them.

‘What do you think this place was?’ Ariane wondered as she looked at the strange vegetation.

‘Probably a trap of some sort. Be careful, those plants are not to be taken lightly,’ Q’rin cautioned, ‘The spores of those mushrooms have many different effects. Some put you to sleep, some kill you, some make you extremely horny.’

‘Hmm, you wouldn’t happen to know which mushrrom the last one is? I could use those,’ Ariane giggled.

‘Isn’t drugging people into having sex with you worse than paying them?’ Q’rin chuckled, ‘But, no. I don’t know which these are. So we better not disturb them, lest we find out the hard way.’

In the corner of her eye, Ariane saw something move. She turned to the spot but everything was still. She looked to Q’rin, ‘Uhm, did you just see that plant move?’

‘No, I have not, but I’ve heard of plants that can do that. It’s not impossible,’ Q’rin said.

‘Okay, we better leave this place quickly,’ Ariane looked around the chamber, ‘Hmm, there seems to be only one way in or out.’

‘There has be a way, it could be shut or overgrown,’ Q’rin scanned the surroundings.

They looked around the chamber for the exit, until they both arrived at a wall that was completely overgrown with vines.

‘I’d hazard a guess it’s through here,’ Q’rin said.

Ariane nodded, ‘Right, but how to get through? Should I burn it down?’

‘Making fire in here would be unwise,’ Q’rin said, ‘We’ll have to remove the vines manually.’ He retrieved two small daggers from his belt and gave one to Ariane, ‘Let’s get started.’

The moment Ariane approached the wall of vines with the dagger in hand, the plant started to move. Shooting out from the tangle, the vines quickly coiled around her wrists and ankles. They lifted her off the ground, drawing her closer to the other vines. As the vines touched her skin, she felt her magical power vaning, as if the plant was feeding on her energy.

‘H-Hey! Let me go!’ Ariane struggled against her bindings, but they only got tighter, ‘Q’rin, do something!’

‘Give me a damn second!’ Q’rin tried to think how to help Ariane, but when he tried to approach, another set of vines lashed out at him, drawing purple blood from his cheek.

A vine slipped under Ariane’s dress and with one quick swipe, it ripped the fabric off her body. The sorceress was hanging naked and helpless in the air, her big breasts rising and falling with her panicked breathing.

The vampiress laughed at their predicament, ‘Yes, excellent. Those mages will be helpless as babies after that plant is done with them.’
