Chapter 3

Where does she go next?
The library
After washing herself thoroughly, she stepped out of the tub and dried herself off. She threw on a robe and headed for the door, making her way down the corridor once again. She was careful not to run into anyone as she walked, keeping her eyes on the ground. She didn't want anyone asking questions about where she was going or why she looked so disheveled.
As she walked through the hallways, Arya thought back on her encounter with the Grand Maester. He had seemed genuine enough, but she couldn't help feeling like something was off about him. Perhaps it was just her imagination playing tricks on her, but she had a feeling that something bad was going to happen.
She found herself standing in front of the door to the library, hesitating. She couldn't remember exactly when or how she got there. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts, and pushed open the door. She was greeted by a musty smell that seemed to permeate the air around her. She breathed deeply, letting the scent fill her lungs. She walked along the shelves, her fingertips tracing the spines of books. The rows upon rows of volumes were arranged alphabetically, and it was easy for Arya to navigate her way around. She paused briefly at a section dedicated to dragons and their history. There were countless tomes detailing their exploits throughout Westeros' past.
It was said that they had been driven to extinction long ago, but she could not help wondering if there was a possibility that one or two might still live. The thought sent a chill down her spine, causing goosebumps to break out on her skin. If they truly were alive, they would pose a serious threat to the safety of Westeros. She pushed the thought out of her mind and continued on her search.
"Arya, I didn't expect to see you here. What are you doing?" Arya's head whipped around, her eyes locking on the woman who had just spoken. It was Serena. Arya swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry. "Oh, I was just browsing. I've been reading a lot lately and wanted to see if there were any new books that caught my eye." Serena eyed her curiously, clearly not convinced by her answer. Arya fidgeted nervously, shifting her weight from foot to foot. She wasn't used to lying to people, especially not to those who she respected as much as Serena.
Serena smiled, "You should never be afraid to tell me the truth. I'm not going to judge you." Arya's cheeks flushed pink and she averted her gaze, embarrassed. "I...I wanted to see if you could help me. I had a vision about dragons" she admitted.
"Dragons? What do you mean?" Serena questioned.
"They are returning, I think. I saw them in a dream. Or maybe it was a prophecy, I'm not sure." Arya's voice shook slightly as she spoke. Serena was silent for a moment, thinking over what Arya had said. "I see. I had a feeling something like this might happen someday. That's why I've spent so much time researching them."
Arya perked up, "Really? Do you know anything about them?"
"Yes, I do. But before we discuss that, let's move somewhere more private. This is a subject that requires a certain amount of discretion," said Serena, motioning for Arya to follow her.
Does Arya follow Serena?
