The last night

On my last night, she came by again and I thought it was now or never. She walked into the room, greeted me, and closed the curtains in front of the window.

“So Johnathan, last night here. Tomorrow you can go back home.”

“Yes, that’s true,” I said. Looking straight at her. “Although I’m going to miss it here,”

“Oh that is just sweet of you, but the hospital is hardly a place to live, I oh.” Nurse Skyler had stopped midsentence in surprise.

“Everything alright?” I asked with a fake surprise. I knew exactly what had happened.

“Yes, everything, is eh fine.” Her right hand went around her and felt her upper back, realizing that the band of her bra had snapped. I couldn’t repress a smile.

“Good, fine is good,” I said and looked her in the eyes. “Are you going to miss me, Miss Skyler?”

Skyler wasn’t completely focused. I couldn’t blame her, I just snapped her Bra in half with my mind. “You’re funny.” She said lowering her hand again.

“I know” I replied.

“We’ll have a good night,” she said and walked to the door.
